Vladan turned back around to face forward. Though he had only gazed into her eyes for a second, her jumbled thoughts tumbled into his mind. She was contemplating escape, and out of habit, he spoke.

"There's no where to run." Vladan said as the car slowed to a stop in front of a loaming black gate. It opened smoothly, and a loud clank sounded as it closed noisily behind them.

He parked outside his dark driveway--his home completely devoid of light. Vladan lived alone, and though his house was large and filled with furniture, he often still felt a little depressed at having no company. He unlocked his car doors and opened his, before walking around and opening the woman's.

The rain was coming down in sheets now, and even though he had just exited the vehicle, he was already sopping wet. Vladan cursed to himself when he realized his several thousands of dollar jacket was sitting on the forest floor in the park.

He reached in and took the backpack. Vladan was honestly surprised that it was still relatively in one piece considering how much it had been put through. The man waited impatiently in the rain for the woman to get out.

"It's pouring, please quicken your pace." He pressured rudely, though he made no move to help her in any way shape or form.

Carefully climbing out of the vehicle, she frowned. Now or never. Before he could grab hold of her again, she tried to bolt, but the sharp pain in her foot caused her to fall, landing in a puddle.

She looked down at her ankle. It was swollen now, and in worse shape than she'd thought.

She stayed down. She had no means of escape... Now what?

Chance waved at Chloe, who had just passed her.
"Goodbye, I suppose?"
Sighing, she went back to her apartment after her eventful break. It was getting late, as well. She headed to her apartment unit, nothing out of place. Locking the door, Chance grabbed the TV remote and started watching whatever show was on. Fortunately, her TV was in front of her bed, so she can watch and then sleep at the same time.

Vladan sighed in irritation at the sorry sight of the woman collapsing on the ground. It wasn't the first time today, and it definitely wasn't going to be the last judging from how the night was progressing. "Come on..." He muttered under his breath, his words trailing off in irritation. It was raining ever harder, and the cold water matted his hair against his face. He bent down in an attempt to pick the stubborn woman up bridal style when a series of loud barking entered his ears.

A pair of large german shepherds rushed towards the duo, the first of the two growling and the second making a move to munch down on her one good leg. "No!" Vladan yelled at the dogs. In response to his raised voice, the first one pounced onto him, throwing his weight off and forcing him to the ground. It was snarling straight into his face and Vladan reached up with one of his hands to punch the dog.

The dog whimpered and shook his head to regain it's senses, before pinning Vladan down and clamping onto his arm. "You piece of crap!" He wrenched his limb out from the dog's mouth before tossing it to the side. It let out a short whine as it was thrown onto the concrete. "And stay down." Vladan yelled. "Before I put you down for good..."

The other dog had backed away immediately when the first was thrown, and was watching from what it had deemed to be a safe distance. It snarled weakly at Vladan and the man pulled back his lips in a growl directed right back at it. The dog whimpered before backing away with it's tail tucked between its legs.

Ignoring the blood now streaming from the fresh bite wound, Vladan bent down once again to scoop up the woman in his arms, before making to move towards the front door. It seemed that the list of things not going his way was definitely not coming to an end.

Venus finally caught up after having to track their location with her laptop. She was starting to think keeping all of this stuff in her backpack was paying off finally for all the weight. Maybe it is what I thought? Maybe it's a stalker... Naw just fanatizing about stupid stuff again. She thought. Venus recorded the address, car number, and the surroundings. She ran towards a large tree and climbed up there. Having issues with here endurance, she also had to watch out for the dogs.

She despised dogs oh so very much, Venus had never been on good terms with dogs before much. The rain was pouring and finally saw it was time to do what she wants today. Venus forced it hail a little, she didn't want a flood though due to her fear. Having sympathy for a human... I'm going to have to jot this down. Humans... She laughed at this while writing it down. Glad they didn't spot me just yet.

Chloe inspected the fence. She had gotten there about five minuets after the man and woman went inside. All of a sudden, two large dogs came rushing towards her. Chloe stood her ground, knowing that the fence protected her. She confronted them, her tail held high.
"Listen up and listen good. I need to- wait, why are you bleeding?" One of the dogs was slightly bleeding on his side.
"None of your business!"
"You serve a master that abuses you? That's pretty pathetic."
"Vladan doesn't abuse us, he corrects us!" Chloe took note of the name."

Kita flinched as he threw the dog to the ground. She wasn't really a dog person, but still...

By this point, she was soaked to the bone. Her clothes were clinging to her skin, and she was shivering.

And then he was picking her up again. She struggled against his strong grip. She knew it was futile, but she did not like her chances with this guy.

"Let me go!" She yelled. "Let me go!"

"Shut up!" Vladan yelled irritably. Every time the woman struggled a bit, it only opened the bite holes on his arm further. He stared down at the wound as it gradually got worst as rain and ash from his shirt fell on the open cuts. He grimaced at how ugly it looked, no doubt it would lead to an infection. Vladan kicked open his front door before entering and shutting it with his back.

The automatic movement sensor lights flickered on to reveal a marble staircase spiraling up several floors. A crystal chandelier swung side to side from the high ceiling. Vladan made his way up the stairs, the woman held tightly in his arms. Turning a sharp right, he entered a bedroom with an adjacent bathroom. The room was overall very plain--save for the huge framed self portrait he had hanging besides the locked window.

He threw the women onto the mattress. "Clean yourself up. There's a bathroom right there and a medicine cabinet below the sink." Vladan stood up straight from were he had leant against the door. When he repositioned himself, a long blood stain streaked on the white door. Vladan grimaced and pulled off his red and black stained, wet shirt.

The bite wound he had received from his dog was oozing blood, and he reached around to feel his back. His hand ran over peeling skin and he bit his bottom lip in disgust. He probably looked like a burn victim. No doubt his back was pink and streaked with soot and bloody skin.

"I don't know how to take care of wounds. I'm an entrepreneur and not a doctor. I'm sure you've heard of me--Vladan V. I'm young, handsome and donate to charities. Volunteering and helping the poor and needy are my specialty, I'm sure you've read about me on magazines or seen me on television."

He turned to leave, and itched his burned back. Though he felt no pain, his body still felt the consequences of his actions. He would probably get an infection from the bite and a fever as well. Vladan wondered how long it would take for his burnt skin to heal. His phone was MIA still and he wouldn't be able to see any of his doctors or nurses until the following morning.

Would taking a shower be a bad idea? Because that was one of the two solutions to his current issue. Clean himself and knock out, or drink until he knocked out.

"Don't try to escape. I feed my dogs, and they still attack me almost daily. Who knows what they will do to you? You saw what happened outside--they'll tear you to pieces in minutes."

She nodded numbly and limped her way to the bathroom, locking herself inside.

The bathroom was very large and very clean, and had he not just kidnapped her, she might have felt bad that she was dirtying it with every step she took.

Her clothes were soaking wet, and she had nothing to replace them with, so she went with the next best thing. She grabbed a robe that looked like it would be more suited to a luxury spa than to a person's bathroom, and put it on over her clothes, hoping it might suck up some of the moisture.

Reaching into the medicine cupboard, she grabbed the largest bandage she could find, disinfecting wipes, and a bottle of ibuprofen.

Pulling up her jeans to her knee, she winced at the sight of her ankle. It was twice its usual size, hot to the touch, and was caked in mud and grass.

"Shoot." she mumbled, opening the bottle of ibuprofen and swallowing a couple of pills. "This is going to hurt."

She turned on the bathtub, removed her shoes, and put her leg into the stream of water. She bit down on her lip as a sharp pain spread through her leg, but she kept it under until the water ran (mostly) clear.

Shutting off the water and drying it off with a towel, she wiped the edges of the cut with the disinfecting wipes, occasionally missing her mark, sending a new wave of pain up her leg. Finally satisfied, she affixed the bandage. She definitely wasn't a doctor, but it was a passable job...

She washed her hands and arms in the sink and looked in the mirror. She didn't look awful, considering all she'd been through... She was pale and still shaking, but all things considered, she looked okay.

Sitting on the edge of the tub, she closed her eyes. Now that he had introduced himself, she did remember who he was... The youngest entrepreneur in popular media... his face was everywhere.

But that didn't make sense... Why would someone like that need stolen jewelry? Clearly he had plenty of money already... and it was clearly not for the thrill of it, since he'd gotten someone else to do it for him...

It didn't matter. She needed to think of a plan. For now, she was locked in here, but how long could that last? Not very long, if he had his way. Staying in here might anger him further, and that was the last thing she needed...

The cold water felt different than usual. Vladan normally took freezing showers, but the fire had messed up his back pretty badly. He lowered the pressure of the faucet and attempted to soap it up. Blood, dirt and soot slid off his body and onto the shower floor. He grimaced at the sight of the bite on his right arm. What a shame it had to be his dominant one.

Once out, he used his hand to wipe the foggy mirrors. With his face now clean of all products, his scar was visible. Vladan traced it lightly for a few seconds before dropping his arm to his side. With clumsy motions, he wrapped a bandage messily around his arm--it wasn't the first time the dogs had attacked him, and it certainly wouldn't be the last.

He turned around and exited the bathroom, wearing a pair of saggy grey sweatpants. They weren't the most fashionable, but they sure were comfortable, and that was all that mattered when he was home. However, he opted for the shirtless approach especially considering the fact that he had a flaming backpack slung over his back not that many hours ago.

The young man headed downstairs with a briefcase that he pulled from a nearby closet. Vladan transferred the jewelry from the bag to the case, before shoving it into his safe. His attitude had significantly improved since the day had begun, but only because he ended up on the receiving end of the jewels after all. Nonetheless, the meeting at the restaurant would have to be postponed.

He stopped by the dining table and poured himself a shot of hard liquor. The liquid went straight down with no chaser--even though he drank much and drank often, he still felt the sting as it slid past his throat. Vladan made to pour himself another. It was a shame that once he begun, he couldn't stop until he was blacked out. Though he was only 19, and 3 years apart from the legal age of 21, Vladan was already a raging alcoholic. It had been a problem since he turned 15.

Kita opened the door carefully. She had been worried that Vladan would be outside the door, ready to grab her again, but he wasn't. She peeked out into the hallway... Still no Vladan.

She walked out of the room, still wrapped up in the bathrobe. Her clothes were basically dry under it, but she liked the softness of it too much...

She wandered out into the entryway, marvelling at the beauty of it. If she weren't so scared of Vladan popping out from around a corner, it might have been a pleasant experience.

She limped down the hall, looking for anything suspicious... Or useful. Ahead of her, she could see what looked like a dining hall. Dining halls meant cutlery... And cutlery meant knives... Or at least something she could defend herself with...

She walked into the dining hall only to realize that Vladan was there. His back was to her... She quietly grabbed hold of a pepper grinder and made her way closer to Vladan, her "weapon" raised.

Vladan was on to his seventh shot in a matter of only 15-20 minutes. It certainly wasn't good for his health, but as a highschooler, he had often participated in drinking contests. Usually he managed to take 15 in 5 minutes before passing out for the next several hours. His vision was beginning to get impaired, and he picked up the bottle to pour himself another. Bits of the liquid splashed over the edge of his way-too-full glass that he picked up with trembling fingers.

The man tapped his fingers against the bottle of liquor as he closed and rested his eyes. "I can exist without love." He mumbled to himself, throwing back to a time when he was much younger. A conversation he had remembered having with a friend--that was no longer a friend. "But I can't exist without money."

They had been arguing to and fro whether they each would pick money or love--and Vladan remembered the words he had so confidently spoken. "I can exist without love, but I can't exist without money." He repeated aloud, as if to confirm his beliefs. But the next part he repeated in his mind.

Though his response had been spoken from his heart, his friend had also spoken from their's. The reply was still clear, even though this conversation had been held so many years before

'But Vlad...' His friend had said. 'I can live without money, but I can't live without love.'

He opened his eyes and reached for the bottle, only to miss it by several inches. Vladan blinked several times and focused on the liquor before making a second attempt. Sadly, it too failed. On the third try though, he managed to tip some of the alcohol into his glass.

Every shred of fear she'd had vanished when she saw him... His cocky and violent exterior was stripped away by every glass... She set down her makeshift weapon and walked in front of Vladan.

She grabbed the bottle, confident that he was no longer a threat to her, and dumped its little remaining contents on the expensive-looking floor.

"Let me go." She growled.

Despite his condition, she kept her guard up... No telling what he might do...

"Hey!" Vladan raised his voice whilst narrowing his eyes blearily at the woman. "I don't recall ordering an escort tonight." He trailed off and frowned, his gaze following the liquor splattering on the linoleum. "I'm too tired!" The man protested against nothing.

He suddenly recollected who she was when she demanded to be released. Vladan made an especially exaggerated motion at the seat besides him. "Come on." He commanded, though it was significantly weaker than how he usually sounded. "Sit down and have a drink. Let's talk about this tomorrow, I'm really not in the mood right now!"

Vladan pointed his messily bandaged arm at the alcohol cabinet several dozen feet across from the dining room table. "I'm not done yet, I want more!" He whined, as he stretched out his hands on the surface of the table. "It's unfair for you to take away something that's mine..." The man childishly complained, completely ignorant to how hypocritical the statement must have sounded to the woman's ears.

"That little bit of liquor you spilled on the floor is enough to send one orphan to a four year university." He pulled his arms back towards his body, crossing them on the table in a small little headrest.

Vladan placed his head down on his arms, before looking up at the woman from his demoted position--his disorderly hair falling into his eyes.

Chloe looked at the dogs on the other side of the fence. Then she had an idea. She began to dig a hole at the bottom of the fence. After about ten minuets of digging, she realized she was going to be digging for a while. The fence was deep underground, but she continued to dig. Dirt flew everywhere. After another eight minuets went by, Chloe finally reached the bottom. Instead of then digging straight up, Chloe continued to dig forward, hoping to avoid the dogs above. She tunneled for what seemed like forever. When she felt like she was a safe distance from the dogs, she began to dig upward. The soil became soft and she reached the top. Chloe poked her head out, looking for the dogs. When she didn't see them, Chloe crawled out and turned back into a human. This time though, when she turned back, she wasn't wearing her casual clothing. She wore her thief outfit. Knowing she had to act fast before the dogs found her, Chloe noticed that she was behind the house. She looked up to see a window. Pushing off the ground with her legs, she jumped to see if anyone was on the other side. No one.

"Where'd they go?" Chloe took note of a gutter, and began to climb it. She climbed up to the top. There she found a skylight. Chloe crawled over to it and looked through it. Still no one.

"How many floors does this house have?" Chloe took out a knife and put the sharp end of it on the window. She pushed gently, hoping to crack the window open, but not all at once. Chloe push a little harder and her knife went through, tiny pieces of glass falling into the room. She then began to break piece off, making a jagged hole for her to jump through. Chloe jumped into the hole landing in the empty room.

"Now it's time to see what's going on."

Kita folded her arms.

"No, I don't think you will be having any more of that." She said. Looking at his outstretched arm, she could see the bandage he'd hastily applied. She rolled her eyes. "What are you, two?"

She left the room before he could protest and walked back to the washroom, grabbing the supplies she'd left on the counter. She sighed. What was she doing? She just went from being a kidnapping victim to being his babysitter...

Returning to the dining room she set the stuff on the table, took a seat next to him, and held out her hand.

"Give me your arm."

Vladan hesitantly placed his arm in her hand, the limb trembling slightly. He eyed the pile of materials she placed on the table with an arched brow. "Nurse?" The man questioned with amusement.

"It's okay if you aren't careful." He added. "It doesn't hurt one bit, so you can add all the disinfectants and the likes of that." Vladan leaned in towards the woman, his face only centimeters away from hers. "You're starting to remind me of a friend I used to have. They'd always take care of me after I got hurt--and I got hurt often." His alcoholic breath probably stank, but he paid no heed to how close he was getting.

"I'm not a nurse, I'm just competant." She retorted, removing the bandages and dabbing at the bite with the wipe. He leaned in close to her face, blocking her view of the bite and stinking up the air with his breath. She pushed him back with her free hand. "Hold still, for crying out loud..."

She laid down clean gauze on the wound and wrapped it with an elastic bandage, making sure it was tight. She let go of his arm and crossed her arms.

"Now let me out of here."

"Can we talk about this tomorrow?" Vladan whined. "I'm tired and sleepy!" He complained. "The more you say that, the more I absolutely don't want to let you leave." The man continued on his miniature rant. "I always hate when people tell me not to do something, or to do something. It just makes me want to do the exact opposite of what they're saying."

Vladan leaned back and made an attempt to stand. With the assistance of the table, the wall and a chair, he managed to reach a drawer. "I'm a great host!" He protested against nothing. "Watch, I can even do magic tricks." The man reached inside and pulled out a jagged knife.

"You're a nurse, so everything is going to be okay." He pointed the weapon at his leg. "I'll be just like you now." Vladan muttered as he pushed the blade into his thigh. As he did so, he gazed up into her eyes. "It doesn't hurt." He said. "Not one bit."

"No, no..." Vladan trailed off, his lips tilting up in a Cheshire smile. "I'm gifted, you see." He pulled the knife out of his leg, then placed his hand palm up in front of him. "It doesn't hurt." The man whispered as he used the tip of the blade to trace a straight line cut into his palm.

Vladan tossed the knife aside onto the linoleum, and watched as it slid in the ground to a stop in the puddle of liquor on the floor. "I'm completely sane." He said, as he stumbled forwards towards the woman.

"All I had to do was stop fighting my inner demons." He said. "We're on the same side now, aren't we?" Vladan edged closer to her. "I can show you more." The man whispered. "I have so much more."

"Don't you want to see things from my side of the world?" Vladan said. "Look me in the eyes. Don't you want to know how I got this scar?"

She looked him in the eye, feeling the same chill as before.

He said it what he thought would be a really convincing tone. The more time passed, the harder the liquor he had consumed was hitting him.

Her thoughts?

Kita reached out her hand and touched his arm. It was less crowded here... Less people meant that maybe the result of her mimic would be less intense...

With less people around, the result of the mimic was much more easily understood. What had once been an incomprehensible echo was now a clear image.

She was seeing Vladan, but she was seeing him beyond even her own abilities... She could see his thoughts, jumbled and confused, and constantly shifting. She could make out bits and pieces, but she found making anything out difficult.

"This... No wonder I was..."

But there was something else... Changing her focus from his power to her own, she found that she was able to more clearly sense him... It was as though his power was amplifying hers... This had never happened before, but then again, she'd never tried to mimic someone with an ability so similar to her own...

Then she sensed something else... Just on the edge of her power's range... Another enabled...

"Do you have someone else living here with you?" She asked.

This is now far too boring, just another simple kidnap I guess. Venus left, wasted her time on it, but was going to keep the pictures and videos just to ever have any proof of anything. She jumped out of the tree, staggering forward. Venus did see the wolf dig, also seeming to be hunting for something...peculiar it seems.

She decided to take one more picture and hang around a little more, her next one to learn about is the wolf. Venus noticed a suspicious person who wasn't here before, that girl broke the window... She was taking photos of the scene now, climbing back into the tree with struggle because of her clothing.

"I guess I'll make it worth my while for today I'm hoping," Venus murmured.
She started to make it rain now, pouring in harder from the skies above, to the ground. Although, she didn't want to much water around her.
