Dillon groans. He starts to stand up. Carrie walks over to him and starts to patch him up.

Valerie~
I move quickly. I run and kick Dillon in the chest, knocking him back to the ground. Why was he still alive? Carrie had told me she killed him. I wasn't going to be nice anymore. I wasn't going to hold back anymore. I was going to do my job. I raise my sword and plunge it into his body. I felt Dillon's body go limp and his breathing stop. I nudge his body away, without so much as a glance, watching Carrie instead with a hardened gaze. "What. Are. You doing?" I ask. I reach into my pocket, bringing out my walkie talkie. I toss it to Charlotte.

(Sorry! If Aite lives, I need Dillon to die. If neither of them live, then that's okay. Also, I felt it was important for Valerie's character development.)

Galen:
~ I notice the ground shaking and I walk a little faster, almost running now. Whatever was making that rumbling probably wasn't going to walk up to them with a huge smile, give them food and show them where the way out was.

Neva tilted her head, "Hmm....traps? Taking prisoners?" She turned to Paige, "You got any ideas?"

Charlotte let out a gasp as Dillon shuddered and died, for real this time. She moved in time to catch the walkie talkie though and tuck it in her pocket, still pointing the gun at Carrie.

Callum shifted back and landed on the ground, "You good?" he asked the others.

Meri~
I start heading towards the middle, keeping an eye on my surroundings and for Team Stormy Storm. I hadn't spotted any boxes, but perhaps there were more items that weren't just in boxes. I kicked a rock, something that seem to be more and more abundant. We were likely really close to the middle. We would need to be wary, otherwise we'd lose.
Selene~
He was speeding up, making it harder to keep up the illusion, both because he was moving, and I wasn't able to concentrate as well.

Paige:
~ "Traps sound fun. You could tie it into a lasso and let me hover it while you hold the long end. When they're close together, I could drop it over them and you could pull it tight so we can keep them in one place long enough to find their flag." I offer an idea.

Galen:
~ I look behind us and I see a flicker out of the corner of my eye. What was that? I think. I turn around and keep walking fast. I sniff the air, but I couldn't smell anything other than the monsters' rancid odor.

"That's a great idea!" Neva grinned. "Well..we all know who's gonna be the smarts of the team." She looked around at their surroundings. It seemed they were getting closer to the other team.

Charlotte tensed as Valerie was kicked away, and fired a warning shot at the shield over Aite. The gunshots seemed especially loud today.

Cliff-
I follow Meri. "We both have pretty strong abilities, but Neva and Paige are probably stronger than us," I say, stating the obvious. "So we're going to have to outsmart them." It was times like these I wished Jolie was here. Not only could she think of an awesome plan, she could also wipe the other team out. I smirk. Okay, while there was the possibility she could wipe the team out, she wouldn't. Jolie would never do anything like that... intentionally... I try to think logically. "They've got Paige who can control air so they probably put the flag somewhere high, let's hope it's in a tree and not floating in the sky or something. If we do have to split out, it might be a good idea for me to go look for the flag. Unless you think otherwise. How could are you at archery?"

(So, the goal of capture the flag is to capture the other opponent's flag. Do they have to bring the flag back to their team's side? I've never played capture the flag before so I don't know the rules.)

Jolie~
Galen starts moving faster. I felt like I was going to fall off. "Galen, why are you going so fast? What's wrong?" I ask. I wasn't sure if Galen could respond. I hadn't thought about that when asking, though. I figured it must be the rumbling that must be upsetting him, but it shouldn't be enough to panic him unless it was something worse.

Kaeden-
"Yep, I'm alright. I'm not sure if she is, though." I bend over the girl. "HEY! Are you dead!" I shout. The girl opens her eyes and shouts at me.

Pele~
"OF COURSE I'M NOT DEAD!" I shout. I get off the floor and glare at the boy. "I was just chased and thrown by a skeleton. Nothing serious." I sigh. The boy was making himself look small in a submissive pose like a wolf would do. "Thanks for checking on me, though. Death is a possibility." The boy grins. I barely keep myself from rolling my eyes. "You okay?" I ask Callum.

Valerie~
I get up from the ground quickly and ignore the pain from Carrie's kick. Part of my training had been to be able to recover from pain quickly. I stand next to Charlotte and watch Carrie, who had obviously gone rouge or had a defect in her system. We'd have to do something about that. She wasn't supposed to be doing this. It was messing up our mission.

(Yeah, I'd like to know what type of shield it is too. Iron Sector kids, even androids, don't normally have powers or anything like powers. It goes against what the MASK believes in.)

Paige:
~ I smile and look down. "Aww, thanks... You were the one who found the rope... I only had the idea." I reply.

(In the version of Capture The Flag I usually play, I capture the other team's flag and bring it back to my side. I don't know how it's played for other people though. I think it can be both ways.)

Galen:
~ I slow down and look back at Jolie. She seemed like she was going to fall off in the next few seconds. I stop just long enough to point with my paw at the ruins of the house, then to my nose. The house had started smelling a lot worse than it had when we were inside. The smell combined with the rumbling was making something strange happen inside of me. The something felt like a mix of fear, disgust and nervousness. I didn't know what to do.

"No." Callum replied flatly with just a bit of sarcasm. "I'm utterly, horribly, entirely, dead."

(I think bringing the flag back to your own side is the most reasonable.)
Meri~
"Well, bows aren't my favorite weapon, but I'm okay, I guess. And yeah, at this point, it is getting pretty dangerous for us to leave the flag unprotected. Do you think you could try to see where they came from? They might've left a trail of crushed leaves. I'll start heading back." We hadn't seen another box, but I didn't think they're were any modern weapons here. Too bad. I looked at my dagger and bow. They weren't ideal, but they would work. "Oh, and don't forget to be very sneaky. We don't really have lives to waste."
Selene~
I look around me. Something felt off, in a very important way.

~ I look down at the leaves with a smile on my face. I really liked Neva already. She was open and didn't think my shyness was weird at all... Or if she had, she hadn't mentioned it.

Cliff~
"Okay, I'll do that. I do have an idea. Since you have the bow you could stay hidden in the bushes and shoot them. They won't see you until after you shoot," I say. I realized how crazy this sounded. Neva was my friend and I was talking about shooting her. Oh well... "Also, it might be a good idea to be close to the flag, but not directly where it is. You can do whatever you want, though. You're the person who knows the right thing to do." I turn away to go scout around. "Stay safe, Meri." I sounded more solemn and worried than usual when I said that. I didn't like the fact that we could die in here, even if it was temporary. Death was never something to play around with. People did die in real life, and it was permanent and not fun. I force myself to perk up. I never liked people to see the serious and sad side of me. "And don't worry about me! I'll be very, very sneaky!"

(Okay, got it!)

Jolie~
I reposition myself when Galen stops. I look from Galen to the house, tilting my head. There was something up with the house, but why had he pointed at his nose? I close my eyes and reach out with my mind reading. I normally couldn't read an animal's mind all I got was either static, images, or just the feeling of something living, but since Galen was normally a human, it might work. "What's going on, Galen? If you can't talk, can you think your answer?" I quickly glance at Selene. I had noticed Diamond Sector kids seemed more intuitive than most. "Selene, how's the illusion holding up? Can you sense anything?" All I could sense, was the feeling that something horrible was going to happen, but I'd been feeling that ever since we started.

Kaeden-
"You are?! So does that mean you're a zombie now?" I crouch behind Phoenix. I didn't like zombies. "What does it feel like to be a zombie?" My curiosity was still winning out over my fear.

Pele~
"Great," I say. "One less teammate to deal with." I turn away from Callum, upset. Why had I even bothered asking. I hated my teammates, and they hated me.

Valerie~
Talking to Carrie wasn't an option. I wasn't sure what to do. I didn't want to destroy her. It would be hard to explain that to the scientist of MASK and my parents. They would tell me that there was always another better way to do something and how disappointed they were in me, and whatever other drama they had. I turn to Charlotte. "Any ideas or should we wing it?"

(Okay, neat. Have fun on your trip!)

(Does it hurt when you die in Capture the Flag?)
Neva returned a smile to her teammate, and then looked back down to survey their surroundings. It didn't seem like Cliff or Meri were approaching yet. Even though she was excited for Capture the Flag, she wasn't excited on the brief dying part. It seemed too....realistic. "Hey," she whispered to Paige, "Am I the only one who feels...weird about the killing part?"

Charlotte shrugged and shifted a bit, nervous. "Not really. We shouldn't destroy her though. She's our teammate....."

"It's sarcasm," Callum rolled his eyes. Hearing the grumpy girl, he resisted the urge to snap back. He only had to finish this mission.

Meri~
I smile at Cliff, with a bit of concern. He had done that, being sad or worried, a far bit more often. It wasn't abnormal for someone to be like that, but the fact that he just covered it up or ignored afterwards, was kinda concerning. Wasn't really my business though. He would also never tell me if I asked. "Thanks! Bye bye!" I scurry back to the forest, where I could hide in the trees. I also stayed a far distance away from the flag, as to not draw attention to it. Along the way, I trip over another box, one containing some sort of camouflage device and net. Perhaps they could be used to hide or trap people.
Selene~
"Illusions fine. Something is bad. It doesn't seem like it can 'see' us," I mumbled. The illusion was going to disappear eventually, but we had a while, unless something drastic happened.

Cliff-
I start to creep through the forest. I was glad I'd played hide and seek tag with my cousins. I'd learned how to be really quiet. I hadn't wanted to be beat by two girls. It was never fair playing with Jolie, though. She would always read our minds and find out where we were. I wonder what Jolie was doing now. She was probably hating it. She always liked to stick by me, even though she pretended to get annoyed by me so much. I push my thoughts aside. I had to focus. I didn't want Neva or Paige to sneak up on me. That'd be embarrassing. It would be just like playing with my cousins. Being beat by two girls...

Jolie~
I nod at Selene. "Okay, if you could please keep an eye out and tell me if anything changes, that'd be great. I'm trying to communicate with Galen."

Kaeden-
"It was sarcasm... You know, so many people tell me about sarcasm. They say I never get the hint. I'm not sure what that means though." I smile brightly at Callum and Phoenix, tilting my head.

Pele~
I shake my head at Kaeden and start to walk down the hall. I lit torches as I passed by them. "Hey, Birdie, you've got the sharpest eyes of us all, so tell me if you see anything. I'm surprised there haven't been very many mind traps or riddles yet, and that means we're going to run into one soon."

Valerie~
I open my mouth to say something, but I feel myself lifted into the air and thrown away. I hit a tree. Dazed, I look around. What had just happened. I could see a young woman, maybe in her mid-twenties. She had dark hair that was in numerous braids, with chocolate brown eyes, and dark skin. She stared at me defiantly. "Diamond Sector!" I shout hoarsely as a warning to my teammates.

(shadowdragons, both me and asrieldreemurr have picked a power for the Diamond Sector person, so I think you should get to pick her third power if you want. She has teleportation and telekinesis.)

(Oooh...hmmm....how about mind reading? Or maybe mind control but that might be too over powered)

Charlotte gaped at the Diamond Sector for a second, then raised another handgun and fired off continuous blasts of bullets. She felt her body being seized and thrown back a few feet, but she managed to readjust in mid air and skid to a halt on the ground. "What should we do?" she gasped, coming to a stop.

Callum narrowed his eyes at the nick name, but he obliged and turned back into his golden eagle form. He squinted into the hallway, "It looks like there's a shape ahead. And a lot of cobweb like strings... Maybe it's a trap?"

~ Alright, she had mentioned weirdness. "I do too. I'm not a killing type of person..." I reply softly. I knew it wasn't real killing, but I didn't want to have to do it at all. I finger the hilt of the knife I had found, lost in thought.

Galen:
~ I sigh and think as loudly as I can: Something is very wrong here. I can't tell what it is but it's making the ground shake. Perhaps it's the simulation. I look Jolie in the eyes to make sure she got it.

Cliff~
Maybe they were still on their side. If that was the case, should I try to go find their flag on my own? I wasn't sure that was a very smart idea. I sit in the bracken and let myself think it over. If this was Meri, she'd know exactly what to do. If it was Jolie, she'd try to sneak and read their minds to figure out where they were. Neither of them were in this situation though... So I guess I should stop thinking about them. I was a smart person... I was a smart enough person. I could figure it out. I just needed a little bit to think about what I should do.

Jolie~
I frown. "Okay, I understand," I say. I stare over at the house and then look back down at Galen. Did he expect me to do something about it? "So, uh, what should we do then?" I ask. It was directed towards Galen, but either of my teammates could answer. I just knew wasn't good at leading. I'd think it would be obvious. I wasn't contributing much to the team. Still, if Galen or Selene didn't come up with anything, I might be able to think of something.

(wingedfox, I was just going to have it be an earthquake, but whatever you have planned seems better, so we can go with that.)

Kaeden-
I pause and try to see whatever Callum saw. "Oh! I hope it's a spider! I love spiders! They're so fun to play with!"

Pele~
"Are they cobwebs or just a string like cobwebs? What does the shape look like?" I ask. "It's probably a trap or something planned to kill us." I glance at Kaeden. He was too clueless.

(All Diamond Sectors have mind reading, but Iron Sector has something to block it. Mind control would work. OP can be fun at times, so long as it's not too OP. We could always just dial it down, like it only lasts for a few minutes and she has to be looking at the person or something like that. Whatever you come up with is fine.)

Valerie~
I stand up, wincing slightly. "Our job," I reply. "We didn't expect this to be easy, did we." I bring out my swords. We'd have to be smart for this one. Unless Carrie snapped out of it, only Charlotte and I would be able fight her. "Carrie, are you going to help us or are you going to continue acting weird?" I thought I already expected the answer, but it was worth a shot. The Diamond Sector teleports over to Dillon and looks down at him. She then looks over at Aite and Carrie. Her eyes narrow.

(Well, Meri's backstory has made her a fair bit more hardened to killing, and she's practical, so I wouldn't count her out either.)
Meri~
I creep back towards the flag, stopping at a ring of especially thick forest. This would do. I think through my trapping idea again. This net would actually be fairly useless unless I was using it as a diversion to kill them. Honestly, killing wasn't appealing to me in the big picture. Its not that I felt bad, at least, not that bad, but because the Simulations were definitely used to collect data. If I didn't act like I was scared to kill someone, I'd be put on the danger list. Then, they'd probably find my box of trinkets. I sigh dramatically. Oh well. I'd find a use for the net somehow.

Selene~
I keep my mouth shut. I didn't think I had anything to say.

I'll make a post soon, but I wanted to announce a new group.

Rebellion:
A secret group inside the mask that was formed 20 years ago. They are on the side of the Anomalies and find ways to help them. No one besides the people who are in it know about this group. The people also have jobs for MASK.

This is @asrieldreemurr's idea. I worked with her to fit it into the roleplay. You guys can choose to make a character for it or not. I understand we already started the roleplay and you've all got your characters settled, so you might not want to add another. I'm going to make one for it, but am hesitant to play 6 character's. Don't be surprised if I kill a character off...

If you are interested in making a character, there is more information about them in the old topic. I don't think the Mods will yell at us if you post your character there, but if you feel uncomfortable, feel free to post it here. They will probably come into play after the Simulations.

Again, I completely understand if you don't want to make a character for it. This is another way for the kids to escape, and we only really need one character for that. I just thought it would be fun to let you guys have the decision to make one.

"We can try," Neva nodded back. She tensed a bit, hearing a few leaves crackling. Maybe it was just the wind.

(How but mind control but only with eye contact, for a max of 5 minutes? If something happens to break the eye contact, it wont work.)
Charlotte tenses and nervously breathes in and out, her palms sweating. "Wake up, Carrie," she tries. The Diamond Sector teleports, and Charlotte's eyes follow, holstering her hand guns and pulling out a AK-47 and flicking the safety off.

Callum rolled his eyes at the wolf's comments, and squints again. "I think it's a trap....and......a cobweb." he groans. He always had hates spiders.
