Hello everyone! I've decided this year to host penny auctions for the holidays!

For those unfamiliar, penny auctions are auctions where you can only increase the price by one cent each bid. In the real world, these sites tend to be scams... but I think the idea can translate really well to game auctions!

Basically it will work like this, I'll set up auctions for 1ec each. They'll be restricted to FRIENDS ONLY. It's kind of an honor system, since Eggcave doesn't have any way of limiting bid increases to be 1ec, but you can only bid 1 ec higher than the last bidder.

I'll closely monitor the auctions and un-friend and block anyone who doesn't play along to the rules.

I'll be starting with a small auction list of 20 creatures, if this gets popular enough I might add more to the pool.

Since I already have over 100 friends on this account, I'll be using my side account @gentle to host these auctions.

The way to join is really really simple! Send a friend request to @gentle and ping me here.

To reiterate, the rules are as follows:

-Do NOT bid more than 1ec higher than the previous bidder! You will be blocked and prevented from bidding on any future auctions.

-Again, SNIPING for MORE THAN 1EC HIGHER THAN THE PREVIOUS BIDDER WILL GET YOU BLOCKED. If you've truly read all the rules, leave a post on @gentle's wall and mention the floicols!

-Do NOT argue or fight with other users for any reason in regards to the penny auctions! If you have a problem with someone in regards to the game, talk to me about it or just block them.

-Do NOT beg other users for their creatures if they won something. If they decide to trade it, that's fine, but unless they explicitly mention that it's UFT assume it isn't. I don't want anyone harassed over this.

-Do NOT beg me to list certain creatures in the auctions. If it isn't already in there, it likely won't be added.

-You CAN bid on and win multiple auctions, as long as you follow the rules. There's no limit to how many you can win.

-You CAN do whatever you want with the creatures you've won. Trade it, sell it, keep it, I don't care. It's yours now.

Creatures being auctioned are named '-Giveaway#' on my side, @gentle. They'll be going in number order with one or two a day.

I've decided to do two a day, and to not have them lined up in advance to prevent people from potentially cheating. 😊 The first two are already up and end around this time tomorrow. Good luck!

Question: If I can't bid 1 ec more, can I do 2ec more then? Hope that made sense, just a little short of ec, so I just wanted to ask.

The rules are only 1ec increments. So if the current bid is 5ec, you can only bid one higher than that (6ec).

Exactly. 😊 You can only go up by 1ec each bid.

So the bids go like this

1ec
2ec
3ec
4ec
5ec

and so on.
