Dragon Roleplay: Egg Hatching

Solos now made a sound like a squawk as his rider tightened her arms around his wings. Without warning, every inch of him burst into flame.

Anariel gave a small chuckle, Dragon was surprising sweet in his own way, the honesty and sincerity that suffused his words and actions was rather charming.

She bit back a grin and teasingly replied, "very well Dragon, though you might regret your offer later when the questions become tiresome."

"Oh!" said Anariel, hands continuing to idly pet the black egg, she figured that she was allowed since he had not questioned her on it, "how is it that you are able to converse with other eggs? I imagine it must be hard to touch surfaces with everyone you wish to speak with?"

She shook her head slowly, "and do not fret Dragon, there is nothing to forgive, I can not expect you to have all the answers."

A pause as she considered her next words, she felt decidedly guilty as the thrumming voice in her mind grew slightly agitated, seemingly put out by his own inability to articulate a proper answer.

"Dragon," she began haltingly, then stopped both in speech and in her petting to look down at the black egg in her hands. "You need not fret," she murmured, "I will not judge you or be disappointed if you can not answer all my questions."

"It seems like I have monopolized our conversation, I apologize, I seem to have let my excitement get the best of me," she murmured softly. Then, humming in consideration, gray eyes intent on one particular sparkle on his shell, she hesitated, "in fact, is there anything you would like to ask of me?"

"EEEEP!!", Sylvia screamed then ran out of the cave where the eggs were stored. She stood in front of the crowds and everyone stared at her wide eyed. "Hehehe...", Sylvia smiled then patted herself down and ignored the burns she got. She looked towards the man and the dragon.

*Yeah, it's OK! For a rider, I want someone who is happy and nice! I don't care that much about the other stuff! As to what I like...I don't know, except that I'd like to have a rider and I DON'T like being stuck in this cramped little egg!*

*Sure!* Aliera stretched enthusiastically, breaking the egg open. *WOAH it's bright out here!* She blinked her bright-green eyes a lot of times, not used to the light. She stretched her blue-green, slender body - ranging from a silvery belly to a dark-green back. She spread out her small, spiny wings. Water from inside the egg glistened on her webbed back-spines; on her tail, ending in a spreadable silver fin; and on the other various fins shimmering silver across her body. She trilled out a few notes of song, overjoyed to be out of the egg and to have a rider. *You're my rider now!*

Sylvia quietly walked back into the cave and carefully picked Solos up. As she did she saw another dragon hatch. She eatched and a spark of recognition hit her. "Sound!", Sylvia said. "How have you been?", Sylvia asked while kissing Solos on the nose. "Don't you DARE catch fire again.", Sylvia told him. ( @silver_winged )
