Melodi nodded and cut off some meat. She handed it to Dust. "I think X is out there, too, so she should be alright." Melodi mentioned.

Finally she told them. "My eyes are out the waters not working I'm hopeless!" she cried sticking her head in her hands.

The young healer climbed a rather tall tree to see how far she was from the tree. seeing the desert starting just about half a mile off, she looked up at the dim sky and sighed, it was hot and she hadn't eaten in two days, she was dehidrated, and energy drained. but it wouldn't stop her from finding the flowers.

Zen quickly down the tree and started walking to the edge of the desert, as her feet grazed the hot sand quickly, she searched all over for the single tree, her head and feet burning. she pulled a small fruit from her satchel that held her book and the flower and a few wraps. popping it into her mouth and savoring the juice, she kept searching.

Oralee looked hard at the meat, thinking she was forgetting something. "oh! guys, i just thought of something! the coyotes! they have to drink too, right? so they must have some kind of water source!" she thought she had found the answer, but then another thought crept in. "but, they travel alot. if they have any source, it could be hundreds of miles away, in every direction possible. or is some spot that we could never find."

@RPers
im just trying to make some kind of breakthrough, not end the rp. it could stil take a LONG time before they find it.

@decks123456 desert animals get water and nutrients from their prey, which get it from what's left of the plants. But there is water out there SOMEWHERE.

Melodi closed her eyes and leaned back on an old tree stump, her face outlined in shadow and firelight. The fire kept her warm from the usually harsh desert night. She got inside her sleeping bag and fell asleep.

---

Melodi dreamed.

She was floating in a black nothingness, but points of light suddenly sparkled around her. 'Stars,' she thought. Then, she saw a large blue and green orb. Somehow, she knew it was Earth. Then, she heard a voice. "This was Earth before the water disappeared. It was known as the blue planet." A soft breeze blew against Melodi's face. She blinked, and a new image was before her. It was a large gray and tan sphere. The voice whispered into her ear. "But now it is the planet of sand. Change it. Find the water." Melodi gasped and then the darkness closed in.

Tess dreamed of her old home, how her parents abused her and how they wanted to kill her so her younger brother would be able to have anything he wanted. Tears streamed down her cheeks. She felt the apin of when hey hit her head. It wasnt the water that was making her go blind, it was how her parents had abused her. But she didnt dare tell anyone else.

Zen struggled as the wind kicked up, causing a small sandstorm. she coughed and pulled down the goggles, still trying to find the single tree.

Dust finished his meat and went to sleep. He had a dream.

A trail of wagons drawn by camels were leaving a dusty village.
A small boy, about 10, was sitting on the side of the road, by two graves.
No one would help, or take him away from the village. He was less then dust to them. An orphan, that had no one.

Dust silently cried.

Tess remembered when they had almost drowned her in sand. When they almost burried her alive under the dirt. When they stabbed her and said a murderer did it. When they HIRED someone to steal her and kill her. When they locked her in her room without food or water. And the last time they abused her before she ran away. They hit her head. She started to bleed. She had a concusion, thats why she went blind all those times.

Zen made it back to camp, the iron in the sand mixed with the bloodshed, had stained her white cloak blood red. she sighed and kept the hood up, making her way back to the tent.

X dreamed by the campfire. There was water. Everywhere. Swamping New Sahara, covering, dissolving the mud homes, and drowning the people. However, it was strangely peaceful. No one fought against the water. People welcomed their deaths, and the end of the sand realm that had held them for so long. Then the scene changed. A little 9 year old girl, in a wagon, seeing her parents being tortured at New Sahara. The girl cried out, but was struck by a hand from inside the wagon. And then she was abandoned. Dumped in the middle of the desert. Stranded. Wandering for days without food or water. Slowly starving to death. And an oasis. Days past, weeks, months, a year, and then the group she now traveled with on the horizon. Hope.
A 10 year old girl woke up screaming in the jungle.

-----I'm back, but not for long;)-----

Zen looked over at X "you ok?" she rasped calmly and walked over to her.

Deleted • 25 June 2011 at 5:59 PM

"Yeah. I'm fine," X lied. "Just... thought something was hiding in the trees. It was you though. I'm fine." X's voice was trembling.

it was that simple reply that gave zen hope that this flower would work

Deleted • 25 June 2011 at 6:06 PM

Tess was sweating, she woke up. Her face was dripping, her eyes were wet. She wanted to sleep PEACEFULLY!

Deleted • 25 June 2011 at 6:08 PM

"Thanks", muttered X. She took the flower and lay down.

Zen smiled softly "here, " she handed tess one of the flowers and stood "just inhale the fumes deeply and it'll knock you out into a peaceful sleep." Zen smirked and pulled back her hood, tucked her hair behind her ear, and pulled her hood back up.
