A creature that will be released on the Lunar New Year 2018 has appeared in the Creature Description Writing Contest. There's a bit more time and heads up to complete your entries, so take your time.
The winner of the CDWC entry for this species will be the first to receive the creature (for free) and will be permanently credited in the Archives.
The Science and Research Center is requesting your help with funding the research of the Squidot creature.
It is the Science and Research Center's most expensive endeavor yet, requesting a hefty 1 billion EC in funding.
Creature Release Week returns January 15. For one week, a brand-new creature will be released every day that you'll be able to collect from the Cave. Stay tuned for more developments.

@jello Half of me hopes not, as it made last year's CRWs more common than any CRW creatures ever. 😋 I mean, maybe 15, but 25 kinda made too many. (personal opinion)

@prairie Yeah, 15 seems more seasonable. It gives them more profitable opportunities, while still being accessible for people fond of that creature. Look at my Star Cosmiathan, I've kept it for a year, it was one of my dreamies. But, I've sold around 10 Cosmiathans, the profit 😊

*reasonable They seemed the most expensive during CRW, slowly declining in sales the farther the year progressed. If you're new to this game, ALWAYS sell the ones born on release date unless the date is important to you. They'll give you two days of buffer to get them 2/3

them after CRW before they retire from the cave and can be bought from the shop for 200 cc. Don't buy them from the shop for 200 cc, I've never seen a '17 CRW go for higher than 200.

@jello thats not true, arcweom go for about 150-200 cc, solire for 350-450, luryuken for 450-500, all the others are below 100cc

Rather than a foo dog or lunar dog, it's one of the lions used in the Lion dance you often see during lunar new year

Hoping CRW has a variation of creatures and not a one-type theme again. As much as I loved the dragons lol the year before last was...eh. I liked some of the creatures. I want cutesy and food themed creatures because collection purposes lol

My family celebrates the Lunar New Year. I remember watching the lunar lions preform on the streets when I was little. Well, can't wait for CRW.
