I don't think it's silly. To me, it's just a quicker alternative to getting the creatures you don't want out of your cove. It also depends on the value of the creature, sometimes people won't even bother on bidding on commons (junk eggs)

I am extreme OCD when it comes to picking the right travels for creatures. Just how i am with my art, I go off of alot of different elements to make sure it looks nice. I consider color scheme.... what travel suits the creature vs. hides it or distracts from the details of the creatur...
