@silver_winged~~~"I'll take the freshest animal you have.", Sylvia said "You like fresh meat right? If not i'll cook it. In fact, we can use your flame, but try not to char it.", Sylvia told Solos with a chilling laugh.
silver_winged • 30 January 2012 at 1:23 AM
@pastelfeathers"Others have no need to feel what I am feeling. My pain," he replied dismally, "is my own."A soft sigh could be heard from the man. His head turned to check over his shoulder, a compassionate frown just brushing at his lips, before he turned again to face the crowd. His dragon, for some reason, seemed otherwise absorbed."It's not embarrassment I fear," he confessed slowly. "It's not comfortable, but it's my problem to bear. But, with others . . . I couldn't do that to them. They don't deserve it." If he could have, the dragon of the black egg would have shaken his head. The most he could share was its emotional equivalent. "It was bound to come up eventually," he murmured. "It's rather unavoidable when it's clear as day that the queen of your clutch is not your mother." A self-conscious sentiment that he had been stifling seemed to bubble up with these words. "He's still watching," he continued softly. "Still here. Just not . . . here. Not physically. I wasn't talking to him, entirely." His voice trailed off for a moment. "Or to you," he added hastily. "Just to someone. Do you ever feel like . . . like you couldn't bear to be alone?"He was quiet for a long moment, then, humming meditatively. "Thank you," he all but whispered. The lights of the egg glistened like teardrops.
pastelfeathers • 30 January 2012 at 2:01 AM
@silver_winged"Please don't think like that!" Anariel blurted out before she could stop herself and though she lowered her voice, the urgency was still noticeable, "pain is something to be shared with those that you trust. Not because they can ease the hurt, though sometimes they are able," she said softly, "you share your troubles because when you are done, someone is there to remind you that there is more to life than just pain..."Anariel stilled briefly at the sensation of feeling Dragon shake his head, then sighed quietly in response to his words. "Regardless," she winced, "it was nevertheless rather callous of me to bring it up during our first meeting."She looked briefly to her left, a thoughtful gleam in her eyes, "I believe family are those who care and are there for us, and that blood is not the only indicator." She smiled slightly, "it seems to me that the man cares for you very much Dragon, as I'm sure does his dragon."Anariel paused briefly, being a rather likable child, she had never been short of a companion when she was growing up. She conceded reluctantly, "I'm afraid I probably do not feel it as poignantly as you do.""But I keep true to my promises Dragon, as long as you are willing to tolerate my company, I will do my best to ensure you never feel alone again."She smiled fondly at the egg, feeling a small wisp of genuine happiness uncurl at the pit of her stomach, "you are welcome Dragon."

@bunnyshadowThe butcher retreated into the meat cellar. Solos tipped his head, sniffing deeply. The scent of the building served only to intensify his appetite. 'I think I'm supposed to eat raw meat,' he said, 'but we could try and cook it if you like.'@pastelfeathersThe twinkling egg emitted a long sigh. "When there is nothing else to do but think," he remarked, "it's difficult not to dwell." "It's not your fault," he protested tiredly, the melancholy in his voice reemerging. The last thing he wanted, it seemed, was for her to feel bad as well. "You couldn't have known."He did not reply immediately to her comment on family. Instead, he seemed to be visualizing something--or perhaps someone--that was warm, nurturing, solid. He himself hummed in understanding; the noise matched frequencies with the static he carried, causing the egg itself to vibrate. "You may be right," admitted self-consciously. "If I were them, I don't know if I could have done it . . . offered to watch the orphan eggs if it meant leaving your own with another . . . "He sighed once more, tone breaking as if with tears. "Anariel?" he asked.
pastelfeathers • 30 January 2012 at 2:39 AM
@silver_wingedThere is a moment of quiet understanding, then Anariel allowed a sympathetic hum to escape into the tranquil air, "I understand Dragon, I can only hope that once you find your rider, your adventures will provide as an interesting alternative to dwelling on the past."Anariel nodded, unable to truly escape the guilt, but unwilling to focus on the matter any longer than necessary. She gave the egg in her hands a small smile and acquiesced softly, "very well Dragon."She flinched slightly when the egg began to tremor gently but listened carefully as Dragon spoke. She took a short moment to contemplate the scenario he offered then admitted slowly, "I think that the decision a difficult one to make and that it was more than admirable for them to have done what they did.""But," she paused, "not everyone can be as upstanding as them, though that does not necessarily imply these people are any less of a good person. And if I were confronted with their choice, I do not know if I would have been able to choose what they chose either."Anariel froze, inwardly marking the first time Dragon had spoken her name, no formalities or uncertainties. She drew the egg closer to herself and murmured in concern, "yes Dragon?"
silver_winged • 30 January 2012 at 2:53 AM
@pastelfeathersThe dragon was quiet for a long moment as he allowed her to speak. He did not care to offer any reply, but merely listened, taking comfort both in her genuine interest in him and in the simple sound of her voice. The tone of his mind took a soft edge, tranquil like a body of water after a storm. He he shifted mentally, as if he were to speak, but no words came forth. It seemed he'd lost his resolve at the last moment. "D-Damon?" he stuttered instead, floundering. The man glanced back again. Though he was clearly trying to mask it, a smile played not at his mouth, but at his eyes. Even in the dim light of the cave, the blues and greens twinkled warmly as he beheld the two of them. "Go ahead," he ushered, the corners of his mouth twitching slightly. The young dragon made a sound like a flustered sigh, attempting to gather himself. "Anariel," he repeated, and then faltered. "Would you . . . " His voice began to fall away, but he determinately drove it back up. "Would you c-care to be my rider?"
pastelfeathers • 30 January 2012 at 3:02 AM
@silver_wingedAnariel watched in worry as Dragon called out to the man, mentally making a note of the man's name for future references, she glanced curiously between the two of them with bewildered eyes.At the man's encouragement, she looked down again, about to open her mouth to question Dragon about what had just transpired and found herself emitting a soft squeak when she registered his question."I-" she spluttered softly and gave the dark egg in her hands a wide-eyed stare. For a brief moment, she seemed lost for words, but, realizing that Dragon was still waiting for a response, she forced herself to respond. When she spoke, it was with a tone of reverent wonder, as if she could not believe that after all the faux pas she has committed Dragon would still consider her worthy. "It would be an honour," she murmured dazedly.
silver_winged • 30 January 2012 at 3:26 AM
@pastelfeathers"Great," the black egg sputtered. The lights upon its surface were shining steadily now. "And now I . . . ""You may want to give him some space," the man interjected, motioning for Anariel to take a step back. "They all seem to hatch differently." The black egg had already begun to undergo changes. The lights grew in intensity before blinking out, every one of them simultaneously. The static thrum grew louder, suddenly filling not just his mind but the genuine air around him. There was a loud crackle, suddenly, and a spark of light in the dim cave. The egg twitched once violently, almost falling to its side. The static dipped and then rumbled.Another crackle filled the cave, seeming to originate from the spark that danced off the shell of the egg. Just barely noticeable under all the clamor was a tiny, insistent tapping noise. With one last, defiant electrical spark, the sharp nose of the hatchling protruded through the shell. It carved upwards before plunging back within, now bashing at the wall of shell directly underneath it. Within a few moments, that section fell away as well, and the young dragon emerged.-c
spiral • 30 January 2012 at 3:26 AM
@pastelfeathersHe had a long, angular face, with a slightly hooked snout and sharp eyes. Upon closer inspection, two tiny nubs were visible at the base of his skull; they seemed to be the beginning of a pair of horns. Right under these were his ears, tapered and horse-like. His neck was smoothly sloped, plated thickly with glistening black scales. Short, slender forelegs emerged next, with three-toed feet whose claws were pointed like needles. His body had a clean, continuous curve to it, majestic though slightly effeminate. His back legs were thicker than his front, muscled substantially and tipped by long, four-clawed feet. The young dragon glittered like a small black gem on the floor of the cave. He flared his nostrils, taking in his surroundings; dusky earth, crisp stones, dragons, humans. Experimentally, he unfurled his wings. The proportions seemed impossible. He wasn't too large a hatchling, about three hands long, but his wingspan had to have matched his rider's armspan. With a sound like shifting leather, he weakly flapped his wings a time or two before folding them again. Even at his sides, they seemed to extend too far. Finally, he opened his eyes. They were yellow, delightfully bright against the darkness of his scales. He blinked several times, positively overwhelmed by the flood of senses to be perceived.
pastelfeathers • 30 January 2012 at 3:42 AM
@silver_wingedAnariel tilted her head worriedly to the side. "And now I?" she parroted uncertainly, hoping that someone would instruct her on the correct actions she should take. As such, she was rather grateful when the man, 'Damon' she reminded herself, gave her specific directions to move back. She did so and watched in awe as the hatching process began, amazed at the brilliance of the unintended lighting show. She made a soft noise of protest when Dragon's egg gave a shudder that almost rocked it to its side, but before she could convince her frozen limbs to move, a sharp nose had protruded.Anariel gaped openly as the hatchling she had been conversing with slowly emerged.'Oh,' she breathed inwardly in wonder, he was nothing like what she had imagined. Her imagination was no where close to producing such a beautiful combination of elegance and power. She gasped silently when he unfurled his wings and watched as he experimentally flapped them. But it was only when he opened his bright yellow eyes that she made an audible noise.Uncertain of the protocol of such matters, she took a small step in his direction, eyes riveted upon his obsidian form. "Dragon?" she murmured softly, then paused as she recalled his previous words, and corrected herself sheepishly, "though I guess that's no longer your name?"
silver_winged • 30 January 2012 at 3:56 AM
@pastelfeathersThe hatchling seemed confused as he heard his rider speak; he retreated a step, glancing around warily at every human in the cave. It was only when he shut his eyes and brushed his mind upon Anariel's that he could place her voice with her person. With slow footsteps, the man approached, coming up beside Anariel and dropping low to the ground. He stared for a long moment into the bright eyes of the young dragon before receiving a reaction. The hatchling tensed and scooted backward, eyes wide and incredulous. "Your name," the man said, for the both of them to hear, "is Valklyn." With that, he rose again, and stepped a few feet away, presumably not to be intrusive. The young dragon took several slow steps forward, testing the rocky ground with each flex of his paws. After seeming assured that the earth was not going to peel away from him, he fixed his eyes upon his rider and approached her.Semi-balanced on his small paws, he flicked his tail and blinked, still testing each sensation. 'Do you . . . like it?' he asked timidly. 'The name?'
sakura2596 • 30 January 2012 at 5:43 PM
@silver_winged "Nah,not really. Want to see the forest?" She asked Ino happily, knowing that it was wanting to since and before it hatched.
silver_winged • 30 January 2012 at 8:57 PM
@sakura2956 The little dragon's head fins perked up like a dog's ears at the mention of the forest. 'Is it far away?' she asked, scrambling partway down Silverstarr's arm. 'How long would it take to get there?'
sakura2596 • 30 January 2012 at 11:17 PM
"Its not far. I's just over this hill. It'll take about 5-10 minutes to get there. Don't worry about getting lost. I practically live there." She said as the woods slowly came into view. She pointed at the tree lining.@silver_winged

bunnyshadow • 30 January 2012 at 11:45 PM
@silver_winged Can you tell eveyone theres another egg?(mine) What kind of currency do they have?~~~"Hmm... Alright.", Sylvua replied to Solos waiting for the meat.
Deleted • 30 January 2012 at 11:46 PM
@bunnyshadow you have a egg? ill go talk to yours then. XDJ went to the next egg, sniffing a little. She layed her hand on the surface, worryed. 'what if this one hates me too?!' she thought to herself. "H-hello." She said nervously.
bunnyshadow • 31 January 2012 at 12:07 AM
@warrior13 Yesπ Page 13 Post 4 π Could you tell me wher your charecter form is? :Ll~~~The air from the cave dropped a few degrees as J's hands touched the surface of the egg. The egg gave off some mist and immediately turned freezing cold, then it grew back to normal, but still cold like linoleum. The air was still frosty. It took a few minutes before the egg responded. "Hello.", said the egg in a frosty voice, it was female.
Deleted • 31 January 2012 at 12:11 AM
@bunnyshadow i think its on page 11, post 13. XD"How are you today, milady?" j says, trying to be polite. She didnt want this one to get angry at her as well, she didnt have many chances.
bunnyshadow • 31 January 2012 at 12:17 AM
@warrior13 Thanx! π~~~"Fine enough.", the egg replied with the same chilly voice. Her crystal shards changed to an aquamarine color. "You do not need to pretend to be something you are not. You have not have to be polite around me, but do not treat me like a household pet either.. Girl.", The female dragon did not sound very pleased with the human.
Deleted • 31 January 2012 at 12:20 AM
@bunnyshadow XD the rate js going, she going to have all the dragons hate her. XDJ was saddened. she pretty much knew this on would hate her too. "im was j-just t-trying to make a g-good impression, the last one h-hated me too. i-ill leave before i upset you more.
bunnyshadow • 31 January 2012 at 12:26 AM
@warrior13 could you seperate you RP and comments like me? It gets confusing π~~~The eggs crystals changed from aquamarine to a depressing gray color. "No need to leave," she said "I do not hate you, yet or have any need too, i am simply explaining. Do not lie to us, dragons. Remember we are connecte by mind and we can tell if you are lieing or not and your feelings. The reason is that, a rider and a dragon must fit perfectly, 2 halves of a whole, if you lie... It will not fit and if a dragon hatches for you both will be unhappy.", the egg continued, her voice icy in tone, but not mean.
Deleted • 31 January 2012 at 12:30 AM
@bunnyshadow i guese? ~~~~~"i wasnt lieing, i was just trying to be polite, like my momma always teached me to before....it...happened. the other one got mad at me because it said it didnt have a name, so i was trying to help it with some ideas and it got grumpy." j says feeling slightly better.
bunnyshadow • 31 January 2012 at 12:34 AM
@warrior13 Tyπ~~~Her little heart beated slowly inside the egg shell. "I see... And who, or what may I ask happened to your mother? And i dont blame the other egg.." She replied to J, her vouce took on a softer tone that sounds like snow.
Deleted • 31 January 2012 at 12:37 AM
@bunnyshadow can she maybe hatch for j? XD im gonna reveal a horbile past or whatever now. XD~~~~~"well.....mom was killed, when i was 7, by my father, because he was a drunk all the time. I ran away soon after that, but ive never been quite...regular after that it seems." J says softly, some tears dripping down. "momma always was nice, and kind."
bunnyshadow • 31 January 2012 at 12:44 AM
@warrior13 Maybe π~~~The egg drooped. "You.... You remind me of Sylvia.. She talked to me earlier.(pretending) Her parents died too.", She undroopified(xD) herself and said "It is alright.. Girl... I do not know your name, what shall I call you by? And your mother, she may be watching you right now, and your father he may not have wanted that. He still loves you. Find him , go back, give him another chance." Her voice still sounded like light snow falling.
Deleted • 31 January 2012 at 12:46 AM
@bunnyshadow i hope so, them two toghether would be comedy. XD~~~~~~"well...im scared of him,hes much stronger than me, but ill try. My name is j, do you have a name i can call you by?" J askes her, happy now.
bunnyshadow • 31 January 2012 at 12:54 AM
@warrior13 How? XD~~~"No I do not. Does j stand for anything longer? And simply call me whatever you want based on my outer appearance, but nothing insulting please. And thank you for trying.", The egg said her voice going back to its regular icy self.
Deleted • 31 January 2012 at 12:58 AM
@bunnyshadow because she seems confedent, and what not, and j is shy and timid most the time. XD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"Well, please please please please dont tell anyone, but my dad really wanted a boy and well...........they named me joe. How about i call you.......Mist or Ice? i know there not very good names, but im not good with names." J says, remaining happy.
bunnyshadow • 31 January 2012 at 1:02 AM
@warrior13 MmhmmπΈ~~~"Very well... J. Either of those are alright, but i will be renamed to another name when i hatch. You have my word, or as much of it as possible but i may not be able to keep this promise. Your fathe may not be so bad.", the egg said, content with this human being.
