Earlier, I didn't see the cave monthly part.I think its a chance for everyone to get rare eggs😊

Huh. It's difficult to estimate quickly. May be this all is for good. And now CC become less powerful. Any important CC-items would become tradable or purchasable for EC. (Hope for second, because if there would be only first, people would trade for freezes instead of CC).But may be this will cause another thing. That people, who can't buy CC, won't be able to get it any more. I don't know. And the thing that worries me most of all is what to do with odd amounts of CC. I have 100 extra. But I don't need anything, that I could buy for 100. I'd prefer to buy a freeze. And I were receiving some more CC. But now I can't. My suggestion is to do official EC to CC convertation. Not forever, for like 1 month. For those, who have odd amounts of CC. Where they could convert this CC to EC, or EC to CC - to make it multiple of 250 or 100.

I was quite pleasantly surprised when I read this. I play many online games, and not many of them monitor or change its real-money processes in regards to the players or economy and as such, have become 'pay-to-win' games. Some even add additional features that it eventually becomes game-breaking. Egg Cave is not one of them.I believe this decision will benefit Egg Cave's economy and players in the long run, and it is very considerate and thoughtful for Ian and the staff to implement this. While I am aware of the now-impossible methods to gain CC without buying it, the reason for CC (as I have read from the staff's posts) was to purchase items from the CSP to support Egg Cave, not for trading.Thank you @Ian, for this generous decision. However, I am still wondering how people who can't buy CC can get freezes for their creatures without trading for a frozen version of it...

@IanGreat idea! It's more fair to the people who can't buy from the CSP.😊

There are quite a large number of people who havent ever bought CC and they have built up their coves through feeding, exchanging EC for CC, and getting CSPs, buying creatures, selling them for CC, and so on. Thats the way I made my own cove without buying any CC.These people have no way of getting CC. Those who buy CC dont have any care about the worth of CC. It is not going to decrease, but it'll be like dead drop rare to have some CC in your hand. It is completely impossible to get old creatures, who would want to buy creatures if they would have been just in the CSP. CC implementation into the TC is the best way, but people with profit motive wouldnt like that because that would decrease the value of CC, and make it more easier for newbies to get it.This is like a complete restriction to CC - earning. If you want it, then BUY it. No other legal way. Meh.This is just a way to create attraction towards EC. It is just for those to spend more time, waste their time feeding creatures, getting EC and getting CSPs through EC.We get an estimate of 100EC per creature. People want 5 million EC for a CSP. To get a CSP, we would have to feed 50,000 creatures. That is a lot for those who only get time to feed 100 creatures a day. It would take them more than an year to get a CSP.

Hey I have 51CC on this account. That is useless now.I wish that I could transfer the 50CC at least to my main. How is that possible now? There should've been CC like that.Profit. That is everyone's motive. And to get profit for a site, staff have to ban out ways to obtain the primary currency for purchasing exclusive items. No offense, but yeah. This shouldnt have happened. What about those who owe 1000CC? Or those who had a large amount of CC to buy a Tine or so. CC could be easily transferred, but when someone wants to trade a Macbot or so, they would need 20 or more monthlies. And if they decline the trade in the last moment, then we are STUCK with those CSPs. This was created over profit motive. EC aims for users spending more time, than rather getting cave creatures, selling them for CC, and accumalating the CC and buying CSPs, or older creatures with that CC, and gaining profit for their own cove. It is like a ban onto earning CC. People cant get 5mil EC in a second or so. 1mil EC a day sounds easy, or of average difficulty but getting a high amount of EC, put that on the 'near to impossible' line. This wont decrease the values of any creature, but in fact, would INCREASE the value of old creatures from 2010, so tremendously that they would be impossible to obtain. At the end of this month, a last staged Macbot would be worth 50 monthlies.

Everything would be purchasable with CC. This now gives a rise to the freezing scams. It would get a good amount for EC. But CC and CSPs would have a more value. There is a huge partiality over CC - purchasers. One of these luxuries enjoyed by them is the V2 profiles. Those who never bought CC, are just bumped off the list. Out of the V2 profile testers lists, there is nobody who had never bought CC though. Real money doesnt grow on trees. Try and earn it yourself, and you'll feel the pain. I really dont think of spending like $5 for just a pixel, a single pixel, which has a possibility of dying.I know a site, where we can get a pixel, which doesnt expire or die, for just 50 cents. [It comes in a set of 4 items for just $2]But here, to get 4 pixels, we would need $20.Actually, if it is that way, the staff should also make a way to purchase EC, that would get them more profit. -_-No offense. But still, I personally dislike this idea. There are many of those, who have, even maybe, 499CC. Without 1CC, that is useless. We cant either gift CC, or trade it. In an year, I'll predict that a first stage Greem would be selling for more than 6 monthlies at that time. [eg. April 2014]

This is a great change 😊 I love the fact that we'll be getting both cave and CC creatures 😊 I liked the gifting option, but the trading for CC was really getting out of hand, people were asking CC for anything and everything, so I can see why it had to go.EDIT; I do think more of a heads up should have been given so debts could be resolved, with the small amounts being traded some can not be resolved by buying creatures/items.EDIT2; I'm not sure about the idea to turn CSP items into actual tradeable items, I know some people would start asking those for their trades then, but it would still eliminate the 'micro CC trading' which made it so difficult to even get recent rares for anything other than CC. On the other hand asking collateral when getting someone else to freeze a pet is also a way to avoid getting scammed, so I don't know whether its necessary o.o

@Ian I don't like this. I don't have credit card and my parents will never allow me to buy something online with it. Few users owe me CC, how should they return it to me?Also; why can't we buy CC with our cellphones? I saw it on few sites and it works great. Users send a message with their username and somekind of code (depends how much game money they want to buy), message takes away as much money as they need to pay from their phones and they get game money on their profiles. If you put that feature I would buy CC myself.

I like the idea of "cave monthlies". Let#s see how this turns out.

@Ian I find it great,I don't have access to CC and there was always the matter of CC only trades.I have only one question, since this was a sudden change, what should we in case we owe someone CC or we are left with an amount of CC that you can not purchase sth with?for example I have only 150 CC and I don't have access to CC because of the banking system of the country that I live in?I appreciates anyone giving me an idea of what to do with this 150 CC? 😊 I traded a SOB for it 😊Thanks again for the changes and keeping EGGCAVE a pleasant place for all players
Deleted • 22 April 2013 at 6:15 AM
@ian Will there be a way to transfer CC between sides? I have 150 on this account and more on my main. If I cant transfer it to my main I cant use it.Anyways, I think this is great. I dont even feel sorry for people hoarding CC now. xD Im happy with this. No more "Only taking CC, sorry" offers. Omg. So happy.
mrsgiggles • 22 April 2013 at 6:59 AM
To those saying that it's hard to earn money to get CC as a reason for Ian to bring back CC trading, well, where do you think the CC comes from? Someone else has to work hard to get the CC to trade with you. CC isn't an entitlement. If you don't have money, you don't get CC. It's just like in real world, where if you can't afford it, you can't eat at McDonald's. And since we can still trade for CS eggs, I don't think it's entirely impossible for those with no CC to get their hands on CS eggs.

Ian stated that they are going to have to figure out something to do for people who have odd end amounts of CC. However, the staff hasn't decided on what to do yet. I'm sure they are also trying to figure out more ways of purchasing CC, that way more people would be able to get it.One should take into consideration it might not be that easy to set up new ways right away, though. It takes time. Another thing, OrdredChaos stated that the staff is currently tossing around ideas on how to make CSP items easier to obtain and to prevent scams for freezes, stars and gender changes. One idea, she said, was that the CSP items might be something that go into your inventory, therefore making them sendable to other players and trabeable. And it's not going to be impossible for people to get their hands on CSP Creatures who can't buy CC. There are a lot of nice and generous people here on EggCave. People are willing to negotiate in order to trade CSP creatures. Put you also need to consider that people who have Old CSP creatures, only have 1, and might not want to trade it, for anything. I'm sure that they have a lot to think about right now and it might not be easy. Having to figure out ways to prevent people from being scammed, how to make everyone happy, what to do with odd amounts of CC, etc.

Well, I don't know how to take all these changes, and I'm one of these person unable to buy CC (so I alredy had to trade creatures to get it) but I think that this all is a good idea. People was a little too much greedy and obsessed with the CC thing and yup, some people tried to scam and joke others too.Maybe now EggCave will be more fair and fun, too. 😊I love the Cave Monthlies idea as well, and I cannot wait to see the change realized soon. I think it will be a little hard to get used to it, but we'll learn how to. x3

People who are jealous of me, or those who want to intimidate me, would love this feature as I have hoarded a lot of CC for creatures. They wanted a twist which would lead to the destruction of my cove. They wished for it, and they got it. They have posted here in utmost happiness as well. I'm not naming them, and don't assume that you are that person as well. I'm not pointing out people.I didn't say impossible. I told near to impossible, which means a lot of effort. This was just done by EC to create an impact on the users, which would render them spending more time on EC, rather than getting CC through cave LEs, travels, etc. They would accumulate CC in bits, and buy a CSP in 3 months, with their savings. Now, what. They'd have to combine the hard work of three months, to get a creature [recent]. Old CSPs would have a high demand. Those who bought them earlier would want more creatures, as people prefer CC the most.I know those who are greedy, and took this from me over fake friendship, and those who are jealous, and those who target a destruction to my way of building my cove to success without buying a bit of CC. It was a wonderful experience to be here on EC. I expected this, and luckily, quitting is only the option for me, though. I feel proud though of my achievement, which is currently blocked by the disablement of this feature. But I really feel proud for what I have achieved. An auspicious moment for me.A bit closer to heaven.

I do think there is a bad side to this. People like me and @rileytibbles_side rely on the trading of CC to get the creatures we want because we are simply not allowed to buy CC. I have to say, both of us have pretty ambitious wish lists and now they probably won't be fulfilled in the next year, maybe more. I like the idea of Cave monthlies but it's going to take an extremely long about of time before they come even a bit close to the value of a CSP monthly.Plus, I have to admit that CC creatures are really expensive! Five dollars for a VIRTUAL creature is pretty expensive, especially since a ton of the people on here are kids and have no way of getting their hands on some money unless they get an allowance. The only thing I like about this change is that EC may be worth a little bit more, even though you can only buy travels and Tim's with it.
shelby • 22 April 2013 at 8:12 AM
@frosted I'm sorry that people sought out to hurt you. That's rather sad.I don't think you need to quit, though. There could be many new features implemented, which would make the site even greater. However it is your choice whether to quit or not.
Deleted • 22 April 2013 at 8:17 AM
@shelbyNew features. I experienced much of the new features. The new annoying TC.. I would need a long time to process a payment if I see travels there. It prevents me from gaining anything as in travels which could be traded for EC/CC [CC is no longer possible]I would dislike it if what the staff instruct me to do with my CC. Its my CC, and I can spend it in any way I want. They would restrict me trading for freezes. Pooh. I hate it when people tell me what to do, like as if I am a small baby and dont know anything. There is no freedom. Its not like a democracy, its like a monarchy. [Sorry, too much Civics] Like a dictatorship. There is no freedom. lol
shelby • 22 April 2013 at 8:24 AM
@frosted I understand where you are coming from. You feel like you should be allowed to use your CC however you want.Although you also need to understand that being on EggCave is a privilege and not a right. It's impossible to please everyone. Some people are going to quit, some people might leave for a little bit, so it's impossible to make everyone happy. Some people are going to like this change, some people aren't. But again, this is a website where rules need to be implemented by the Administrators and Moderators. If there were no rules in life, what would happen?Sometimes you need to look at the silver-lining to things, rather than the storm cloud.Over-all I believe this is for the best of EggCave. It's more fair for everyone, rather than just people who can buy CC or have old creatures they can trade for large sums of CC.
magenta • 22 April 2013 at 8:27 AM
@FrostedNice usage of words 😸 Anyways , I don't think you should quit , just so they beat you down , you have a choice to erm .. quit or stand up and pain is temporary but quitting is forever .(Im sorry if this offended you ^^)
Deleted • 22 April 2013 at 8:28 AM
@shelbySo I guess that as CC is not there, nobody could trade CC. Thats done. I'm in a dilemna. There are a lot of people stalking me, and if I do creature trades, [buying CSPs in place of CC], then I would have to suffer if the person selling the creature rejects my offer, and I'd be stuck with the rest of the monthlies, unless someone buys them off from me, but that wont get me CC back.I wont be able to get EC, as I dont have time, and neither do I want to spend that much time as well. This is the second hardest hit the economy could ever get. CC trading banned. Creatures being traded. No profits for the users, but profits for the site. More CC, less trading. That would be the main problem.
magenta • 22 April 2013 at 8:32 AM
@Frosted*Dilemma I agree , im pretty angry at this too but we have to accept this , it is a fact , learn to leg go >^<
shelby • 22 April 2013 at 8:37 AM
@frosted Have these people stalking you broken the site rules at all? Begging for creatures, attacking you in some manner, Such as:attacks, comments, or opinions about other people or things that slander, defame, threaten, insult or harass another person. If you know who these people are, you should block them. This will prevent them from bothering you. This will help you stay happier. I know the removal of gifting CC is one of the reasons you are upset. But I'm sure there will be things implemented to help compensate for the removal of gifting CC. We won't know until we get more updates.
Deleted • 22 April 2013 at 8:52 AM
@shelbyI think they have. They commented on others wall about their opinions which defamed me. They also insulted me in front of others. They also tried to harass me. I just dont contact them. Ignore them completely. I feel sad that I have been used by them for just getting a more value to my cove. There are currently 5 people stalking me. I know some of them. But they dont break site rules. Stealing trades isnt a part of the site rules. They just threatened me once, to return a name, which they claimed to be theirs, and now they are trading that name for a high offer or so. I wish that there were only one kind of people. The person mentioned above, just keeps telling, "Im quitting, Im quitting, but never quits" If I was to stay, it would be after that nuisance is done with/get rid/ or gone forever.
yts • 22 April 2013 at 8:53 AM
I think this is a really bad thing, for people like me who cant buy CC 'll be IMPOSSIBLE to get rare old creatures from my wish list...I don't have any motivation to stay here.
id2d • 22 April 2013 at 8:53 AM
I to am really looking forward to this change. Seeing new creatures in the cave every month is going to be wonderful. It'll give me a reason to go on egg hunts again. 😊However will this really lessen the currency war between CC and EC? After all, if the staff dose make items from the CaveCash Shop tradeable, then instead of seeing trades marked "CC ONLY!" we'll be seeing "Freezes/CPS's only." I can see it stopping scams, but as for the economy, I don't see it changing much. As long as CC and EC remain on this pendulum weight scale, CC will always come out on top.To make this painful headache disappear for good, I only see one of two options really working.1: -and it hurts me to say this- Make CC completely separate from EC. Meaning nothing bought with CC can be gifted or traded.2: Make CC obtainable for everyone, even if you can't buy it. (In really small quantities of course.)There, I've said my piece. Now to look forward to the new update.

@frosted Haha. You talk like you are a poor one now that you have 25k of now "useless" CC. xD
