I did think of one thing. I do miss trading CC to my side to buy monthlies there if need be, but, it's not hard to transfer the pets. I'm excited for Cave Monthlies for sure!
xxxmahiruxxx • 22 April 2013 at 11:36 PM
Users were using CC to trade with which isn't the true point of CC so I rather like this idea. People need to get over it and move on.
sstwins • 22 April 2013 at 11:59 PM
Hmm, these comments are all really interesting!I guess that since CC gifting was put into play over a year ago (February 24th to be exact) no one really remembered that it wasn't meant to be used for trading! I know I sure didn't. I never really saw any rules against it that I remember, except for the one in the Trade Safety thing. But I thought that was just a warning. đI keep having mixed feelings on this subject. My rationalness is telling me that nothing is really going to change, and everything will be fine, but I still feel this growing sense of panic that all my hard work will be crushed. I guess that's just human nature though, we tend to panic at new things. đNot sure if anyone saw my post before, it kinda got buried at the bottom of page 6, but does anyone else think that user shops would be cool? I'll quote myself here."Ooo, user shops where you can sell critters and travels for EC could be great! Then you could do quick sales instead of worrying so much about trading. Then the TC could be more based towards trading creatures for creatures! In order to do this, we would have to add some sort of a search bar for items in user shops though. It could be a drop down below the creature and user searches! It would open up a list with pics of all of the creatures UFT, the user who owns them, and what their prices are! Travels could use the same search bar, but with just users and prices!"Does anyone else have an opinion on this? Or am I just being silly for considering such a huge site change? đ
leafpelt • 23 April 2013 at 12:07 AM
@sstwins I support the user shops! And perhaps a public auction place for all users instead of many topics?
pebblestar-nightclan • 23 April 2013 at 12:08 AM
@sstwinsI like that idea. It would require a lot of time, though, I'm sure. (; User shops are cool because you can basically run your own shop with all of that cool stuff. And, if the feature to buy stones and elixirs in the Cash Shop Park without using them immediately is implemented, you could probably sell those, too. Also, I believe that there was no rule against CC trading, otherwise most of us would be in trouble now because I know I did it. XD But, yes, there were several warnings and reminders that it was called "GIFTING CC" and not "TRADING CC". I suppose that when you "maltreat the system" it doesn't always work out. Then again, I'm not really upset with this change. I can live with it without being super upset. I was -- for the most part -- unhappy with this change, but I'm beginning to see that it doesn't really matter to me anymore.
sstwins • 23 April 2013 at 12:08 AM
@leafpelt Oh yes! I didn't even think of an auction center! That could be awesome too, the critters/travels would automatically go to the user who offered the most on them by the auction's end!!
leafpelt • 23 April 2013 at 12:09 AM
@sstwins *nods* It would help isolate certain types of t opics to certain places. XD
sstwins • 23 April 2013 at 12:13 AM
@pebblestar-nightclan Ooo, selling potions and stuff in user shops could be great too!Hmm, I guess I never saw those warnings. đ But I guess I wasn't really an active trader until after the CC system was in place, so maybe they weren't being posted anymore. And yeah, I was super upset when this came out, but I've calmed down a lot. đ I do react very strongly to any types of change though. Even good things. I was so mad when the new travel agency came! đ

@Ian So basically you can't gift cave cash anymore? It will be fairer and plus we still have two more months. The reason I think its fair is that people won't scam other people anymore. Its quite easy to scam people with gifting cave cash. But the negative thing about this cave cash thing is that I will never get a female rousel.Oh well boy rousels are cool đAnd the cave dailies are suppose to be like new creatures every month? Will you allow me to do a survey?
lunacharm1037 • 23 April 2013 at 1:13 AM
@IanI usually have no luck in the cave and end up paying CC for all the "specialty" cave creatures. Will the new cave monthlies be free?
duchess • 23 April 2013 at 2:16 AM
I'm a little sad with the changes, seeing as I gathered CC for freezes by trading for odd amounts with people.I guess I'll just have to go back to trading the creature itself to get a freeze. It's a little inconvenient, but not too big a deal đI love the idea of monthly cave creatures though đ
elluwah • 23 April 2013 at 5:10 AM
I must say, in regards to a few past posts of those who say that it means people will have to purchase CC for themselves rather than trade for it, you're saying that taking the gifting away has only been implemented to profit the website. But in order to have CC in the first place, somebody has to buy it. That's the general rule here: CaveCash is bought with real money. In order to fuel your trades, it had to come from someone originally.By taking away the CC gifting, obviously the demand for random CC is going to drop, meaning LESS people will be buying it.Isn't this proof enough that the reason this feature has been taken away is the help the USERS, and not the financial gain of the website?People who don't approve of this have yet to give it a proper shot. You're jumping to conclusions, so just give it a bit of time and you'll see that this won't be as bad as you first thought. đ

People who can easily obtain CaveCash through earning wouldnt bother to buy CC even if they can. There are many people who earned their cove, as well as bought CC, occasionally. This makes it harder to earn anything, so there would be more purchases. Not arguing, but actually, there is nothing that could be done to improve the situation. I wish EC had it, but *sigh* its the site owners' choice, I wish that it had been maintained as before.
misty_rose_ • 23 April 2013 at 5:48 AM
@Ian Yes! Finally things are more fair to everyone on Egg Cave.
phoebesoldi • 23 April 2013 at 8:00 AM
I guess that I agree with @april__ because I want to be able to trade CC, but some of the ideas you are producing are wonderful!
banana • 23 April 2013 at 8:16 AM
@Ian I love the fact that there will be cave monthlies!
kollais • 23 April 2013 at 8:36 AM
I'll miss trading for 50 or 100 CC.I remember times before CC gifting. And you needed to find right person, who'll like your whole offer (usually 3-4 LEs) and whom you trust enough, to sent you treasured creature for freezing. After CC gifting it were easier to get odd amount if CC, then collect it, while you have 250 or 500.But after few month price of CC in EC and LEs became very high. From 1mil EC per freeze to 3,5 mil. The main problem was, that everyone wanted CC even for recent LEs. Now, it would be harder to get a freeze or CSP again. But I hope, that Cave Monthlies and tradable Freezes and so on, would make it easier (at least more safe). And while reading all this comment I'm starting to think that it's all for good more and more.
neko-chan • 23 April 2013 at 8:55 AM
But there's one problem With this. How can you revive creatures if you can't buy CC?đąOr maybe when a creature dies at your side and you can't transfer the CC?
Orderedchaos • 23 April 2013 at 9:07 AM
@neko-chan Its been stated several times by various staff members, that we are currently looking into this. One of the ideas tossed around is to make those and freezes actual items you can trade. However we need to make sure that they don't become the replacement for CC in the economy.
Deleted • 23 April 2013 at 9:33 AM
@orderedchaosDoes "looking into this" give an assurance or not?Or is it just a 10% possible addition?
purrclan • 23 April 2013 at 9:40 AM
@orderedchaosWhat if you had 50 CC on one account, 200 CC on another (both, presumably, from when we could gift CC), and wanted a freeze? Would you have to buy CC?If you had enough, but it was split like that, that would suck. >.<
Orderedchaos • 23 April 2013 at 9:41 AM
@frosted We are actually going to implement something to help get the CC items to people who do not have CC. We are still discussing the best way to do that.Edit: @purrclan Ian has already said that he is working on a way of fixing these odd amounts of CC.
Deleted • 23 April 2013 at 9:44 AM
@orderedchaosWhat would I do with the 150CC I am short of here, and the extra 50CC on my account, @stort ?Would there be a way to spend the odd amounts of CC?Sorry, for the arising questions.
promise • 23 April 2013 at 9:48 AM
@orderedchaos If CC items are going to be available to people who don't buy CC why would I keep buying CC?
Orderedchaos • 23 April 2013 at 9:50 AM
@promise The current idea is to make them tradeable items. Thus someone with CC will still have to initially buy them. They will not be made available for EC.
promise • 23 April 2013 at 9:51 AM
@orderedchaos Oh, ok. Thanks for clearing it up! đ
Deleted • 23 April 2013 at 9:54 AM
@promiseCC monthlies and cave monthlies are seperate. There would be 2 monthlies purchasable for 500CC each, and 2 other, completely different monthlies purchasable for a high amount of EC, like 1m. Though this would not decrease the value of CC, it would rather increase it in my opinion, as CC is no longer earnable, and it would be very rare to have some with you. Those who hoarded CC, cant buy any older creatures now. EC would be used up in travels, and these new monthlies to come. EC would be less in circulation, but actually, CC would be more less, as they would not be earnable.
Orderedchaos • 23 April 2013 at 10:00 AM
We have not decided on the best method of release for the non-CSP monthlies. So please do not assume that they will be released in a certain way.
ahgirltc • 23 April 2013 at 10:38 AM
How much does an egg for the cave monthly cost? I really hope it wont be more than a million ._. those people without time will have a hard time earning via feeding. Also, I'm very glad that the staff are deciding to make CC non tradeable! It really gives chances to new players to get their hands on LE creatures blah blah. Plus, people that expects CC only for their creatures will stop. In turn, they might ask for a few million EC for the creatures LOL.However, 500 CC for a creature in CSP is too much though, $5? âšī¸ Overall, I do support this decision and I am happy that EC is starting to stand out in the market once again đ
Deleted • 23 April 2013 at 10:39 AM
@orderedchaosOkay, with these. The matter is that the non-CSPs would be released next week itself. Also, there would be a clash if the cave monthlies look better than the CSP monthlies.I thought that they would be in the cave, but I seen other users mentioning them available for EC, I thought that they must have asked the moderators, and got the answer, but I just realized that they were assuming as well đ
