I joined a while ago and I'm just sort of blindly feeling my way around with no idea what's going on lol
It's really lovely to have all these prizes and activities, thank you so much for my travel, I had no idea that was even a thing XD

Welcome everyone to a month full of activities and fun.
We wish you all a great holiday season, much happiness and good health!

The immortalization service has been re-implemented and some members have already started to use it. Thank you. 😸

The aim for the club is to help all members coves thrive and to continue to be a friendly and caring place here in the forum.

:: FRIENDSHIP SWAP ::

(Pairing Members Up)

This activity requires a pairing up with another member for ten (10) days and you send each other gifts and feed each other's cove for the entire duration of the activity.

If interested you need to make just one (1) post in #BOAFFUN forum thread to say you joining in the fun.
byfelisa will pair up players on November 21st.

Once pairs are all ready in place the activity will start November 23 at 6:00 AM and end on December 2 at 11:30 PM ECT.

A log of participation is necessary in this activity.

Two days before the Swap is over, one of the paired members has to make a post in the Fun Center.

The post must include both members' names and what days they participated in swapping. Please mention if there were any problems during the week or holiday obligations that conflicted with gifting because of it.

Failure to work with each other and make the post in time with disqualify both members.

No member is has to join in this activity, but if you do, remember to be kind and considerate of your fellow club member. ONCE you join you will be required to fulfill your part of the activity, so think about it before you commit to it.

All contest participants will win one of the following prizes:

(10) Cash Shop Vouchers

(8) Cash shop travels

(12) Limited Edition Creature

They are considered the most highly developed of birds and very diversified.

Finches are classified into 3 groups:
Those with small, triangular bills.
That of the canary, sparrow, bunting, towhee and junco.

Birds named finch - Chaffinch, Bullfinch and Goldfinch

Thirdly, those with thick, rounded bills. Like the grosbeak and cardinal; crossbills, rose-colored northern birds.

The sparrows are field and hedge birds, colored in dull grays and browns.

Most finches excluding the goldfinch, build sloppy cup-shaped nests for their speckled eggs. They can have between 4 to 6 eggs in their nest.

Goldfinches are named for the bright yellow markings of the male, found in Europe and North America.

The common American goldfinch are birds such as the thistle bird, wild canary and yellow bird.

They are year-round residents everywhere in North America except the far north.

There are several Western species. The British goldfinch is cinnamon brown with black and yellow wings and a red face.

Goldfinches are cheerful, musical birds,they are normally kept as cage birds and are members of the weaverbird family.

The European bullfinch has blue-gray plumage above and terra-cotta below, is often caged too; it can be taught to mimic tunes.

The chaffinch in Europe is a cage bird. They are marked with a chestnut back, wings and tail.

In North America the eastern purple finch, is actually rose-brown. There are several purple finches in the West. The rosy finches are western mountain dwellers. The house finch, is known for its lilting song.

A special type of seed that finches love is millet spray.

They eat seeds, but can eat a wide variety of foods. This includes leaves, fruits, shoots, flowers, insects, spiders, worms and other invertebrates.

Native Necklace


Supplies Needed:

A paper cup
1 piece of cord
8 wooden beads
2 feathers

Tools:

Paint

Remove the top ring of a paper cup.

Punch 2 holes in the top of the ring and 1 hole in the bottom center.

Paint the ring.

Cut a 20-inch piece of cord.

String 1 bead on each end.

Make a loop and place one end through each top hole.

String a few wooden beads onto the cord, creating a “Y” shape.

Push 2 cords through the center hole.

Add a single bead to keep in place.

Attach a feather and bead to each end of the cord to finish.

Delicious Recipes

SWEET POTATO MARSHMALLOW BALLS


Ingredients

2 pounds sweet potatoes
1 cup gingersnap crumbs
2 tblsp butter
1 egg
1/4 tsp salt
1 bag mini marshmallows
1 tblsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cinnamon


Preparation Method

Boil the sweet potatoes cut in chunks until they become tender.

To this, add butter and spices and mash.
Then stir in an egg and continue to mix.

Refrigerate this mixture until firm.

Now form balls out of this mixture and place 1 2 marshmallows in each ball.

Then roll in the gingersnap and spread on the cookie sheet.

Then bake this mixture for about 10 to 15 minutes at 400 degree F. Serve hot.


POPCORN TREAT CANDY RECIPE

Ingredients

3 quarts popped popcorn
60 large marshmallows
1 cup chopped dried fruits like Cranberries, raisins, apples etc.
1/4 cup peanuts
1/4 cup shredded coconut
3/4 cup margarine

Preparation Method

Take a small frying pan and melt the margarine and marshmallows over low heat. Pour this mixture over the popped popcorn. Then, stir in the nuts, dried fruits and the coconut.

Now butter your hands and mold the popcorn mixture into the ear of corn shapes approximately 6 inches long.

Grease a cookie sheet, place the corn shaped popcorn mixture on it to set.

Place the dried fruits and nuts on the shape to resemble the colorful kernels of the corn while the marshmallow is still sticky.

Now insert a skewer in the end of each side and let it cool.

When the marshmallows set in, then wrap with cellophane and tie with raffia bow to make it look attractive.

WRITING CONTEST: "I LOVE AUTUMN"

The thing I enjoy the most about autumn is experiencing the gradual transition from the hot summery months into the chilly winter season.

My favourite change is in the leaves. Taking a walk outside while watching the leaves fall, and listening to the crunching of the auburn coloured leaves under each footstep has to be the textbook definition of autumn. Something about seeing and listening to these leaves, combined with a distinct smell of crisp autumn air, is so soothing to me. It definitely is my favourite part about the fall season.

Another thing that I love is the idea that these changes are only temporary, which makes the entire experience even more precious. Once winter comes and goes, the trees will surely bloom with green leaves once again. To me, the autumn season serves as a wonderful reminder that life functions in cycles, that if you ever feel stuck on life, it will get better if you hang on and keep trying - just like a tree will undoubtedly flourish with life again in the spring after losing its leaves in the fall.

"I LOVE AUTUMN" CONTEST:

The crackle of leaves underfoot, the windowpane rattling with every small drop of rain. Mushrooms dry out, curling up at the cool wind, drawing themselves under the blanket-like cover of the the moist auburn leaves. Acorns take their leap, in hopes for new life. The animals hush, stocking their reserves in preparation for the long winter night.

The musty smell of autumn, nostalgic, floats heavy on the air. The swirling drops of color float ever so slowly in the wind, as it is their one and only chance to experience the world on their own. Our breaths take on whimsical forms, floating from our mouths in a chain of silvery mist, to join the moon above. Tired laughs and quiet chats as the fireplace crackles, a time of respite for even the busiest of creatures.

Warm woolen blankets drawn tight, the fuzzy socks pulled on. Feathered flights trail their ways home to the warm southern dawn. Refrigerators and rabbit holes both stuffed to the brim. Rapture at the sight of all those old friends.

Among all creatures of sky, sea, and human alike, autumn is a rest from a weary year's plight.

(It's almost a poem... I hope that's alright! ^^; )

LAST WORD!

In this game two words are posted and then the next person has to post starting with the last word and make their two words and the next person does the same.

This game is continual so it will go on until no more members play. If anyone is stuck, you are allowed to supply a new set of two words, everyone will continue on again. 😊

Here is an example:

I post - BLUE BOX
next member posts - BOX OFFICE
then the next member posts - OFFICE SUPPLIES

Get the idea? Good!
