I honestly cannot remember the last time I participated in the Chocolate Exchange. Went through my wall and it seems like 2016 was the last time, wow. Pinging those who gave me chocolates back then, I think you're still active, hope you don't mind.

Well it's good to see that you plan on participating this year!

I would like to casually remind users for when the event starts that sending gifts to your main from your side accounts is against the rules.

Note- users will not be able to send you gifts until you log on after the event started so log on as quickly as you can! This has been a thing for a very long time and it's to prevent you from sending the choccies to inactive accounts since it's not going to be useful there.

I also suggest sharing the love and sending gifts to as many users as you can. I find it more fun that way and I also enjoy helping newer users.

If the set up is ,like last year I will try to return like to like on bulk sends, but it was cumbersome, so I may prefer multiple trades of 1:1.


@bubblez and anyone else new to the event.
The event works in an interesting way. Basically as you feed creatures, you randomly get boxes of chocolates, like the seeds at Halloween (if you've ever done that event). However unlike Halloween, you can not spend what you collect yourself. You need to gift the boxes you find to other players, and you can only spend the boxes you have received.

It used to be that you could only send one box at a time, but that was changed to send bulk amounts (and I'm thinking it's any number up to 50, but don't quote me on that). There is also a list on the event page of who has sent you boxes, that includes a return function which make things easier with that. But there is also a cool down period between sending to the same player. So if you send some to a player you will need to wait to send a second lot. It only something like 10 or 15 minutes if my memory is working properly, but something to keep in mind when returning boxes.

Unless it's changed, you do not actually have to be friends with the person your sending to. As I'm usually on just after midnight ECT, the first people I send to are players who show are active then as well, though the click exchange and boards.

In previous years, it's not guaranteed per creature. It's more there's a chance of getting a box with each creature feed. I can't remember exactly, but you could feed 3 or 7 or 15 or more creatures between each box. The chocolates are announced in a pop up after you hit the feed button.

Usually I open a bunch of creatures (20 to 50), and then speed feed them using the Click/Ctrl-W method on a computer. Using this method, the pop up doesn't need to be closed, but the chocs still counted.
