the general Christmas stuff when it comes and New Year’s to stay up (i guess Chinese/Vietnamese New Year counts too)

What was something nice that happened to you on Eggcave this year?
this was at the beginning of this year, but getting to see the Woofle come here was pretty neat (even if there were some delays (and i’m listed as a co-creator, but i think this still counts)) 👍

What's your favorite new creature from 2024?
gonna go with my cute bias and say Xai (cute design, weird name)

First Question: I don't really do anything for end of the year celebrations anymore, I don't have anyone to spend it with and nothing special happens around here. I'll be buying my dog some Christmas-themed gifts but not much else.

Second Question: It's so hard to pick just one thing, I've had so many awesome experiences on Eggcave this year! Finally trading for the Floating Bridge retired CC travel comes to mind, that had been one of my top wishlisted travels. (A close second would be collecting over 100 Stylish Morning Glory drinks, as the name is sentimental to me.)

Third Question: My favorite new creatures, definitely a tie between the Pollnac and the Nemes. Maybe the Nemes a little more I guess. I love the style and the playful poses for the kid/teen stages.

1. Christmas of course, if you count that as an end of year celebration. This is my favorite time of year, it's so peaceful and warm and it comes with snow ❤️ And I usually watch the ball drop on New Year's Eve if I'm awake. Sometimes with friends, sometimes at home with family.

2. Just being reminded how many wonderful people make this site worth coming back to. Some of the best people hang around this site and I never would have known them if it weren't for Eggcave. I've had these friends for years, but this year especially really showed me just how great they are and that they're the best part of this site.

3. Why did you have to pick such a hard question :') I love the Ahap and the Lumitigu, but I'd probably have to say it's one of the fairies. Myrthalic for the vibes, Scinurum because it reminds me of myself, or the Hyinda because the design is just plain gorgeous.

What sort of end-of-the-year celebration do you participate in?
Christmas! Putting up the tree, making Christmas mince pies, and then gifting and family meals on the day 😊 I also occasionally do something with friends for New Year's Eve.

What was something nice that happened to you on Eggcave this year?
Ooh honestly, probably a lot of things that I can't remember, my memory is pretty bad lately! But one thing I do remember is winning the cash shop monthly lottery! Twice! It was a bit bittersweet the first time because the lovour genuinely scares me, but just recently I won a potoo and couldn't be happier 😸

What's your favorite new creature from 2024?
Aaaa so many good options... I really liked a lot of the CRW fairies, especially the child stages. But all of the CSP monthlies are so good too... AND the cave monthlies... oh dear this is a tough decision. Gonna have to go with nemes, especially the child (or teen) stage.

What sort of end-of-the-year celebration do you participate in?
I usually have a family meal gathering, the whole family gets together and also tries to help out as well with the prepping and cooking of the meal. We also do gift exchanging! Then there's counting down together for the New Years and watching fireworks together.

What was something nice that happened to you on Eggcave this year?
I think it'd be obtaining my very first Oasis egg just a couple days ago hahaha I've been on that page countless times and never see anything, but finally seeing an egg besides the regular "Come back again another time..." made me lit up like a Christmas tree 😂

What's your favorite new creature from 2024?
I was gone for a majority of 2024 due to a hiatus/break so tbh I'm not very familiar with all the creatures that have been released this year but from the ones I've come across I really like the Clocelium and think its absolutely adorable!

"What sort of end-of-the-year celebration do you participate in?"
I haven't celebrated the holidays as much since I've gotten older (used to celebrate Christmas). One silly tradition I have though is to joke with some of my friends that are in later time zones that I'm stuck in the past when they get to New Years before me.

"What was something nice that happened to you on Eggcave this year?"
A notable event was when there was a cluster of CSP auctions in august I was able to get a messen for a great price without having to snipe or counter-snipe. It was nice that other people had chances to get the other CSP without cc too.

"What's your favorite new creature from 2024?"
My favorite new creature is probably the pinnaqua. I froze one in the baby stage and have another I'm going to fully evolve.

I get together with my friends on New Year's Eve to celebrate the New Year. We're all in different timezones so we stay on call until the first person greets the new year ^^

I won a contest and got gifted a tine, one of my favourite creatures ever. It makes me smile whenever i look at her.

I think the closest i have to one is christmas hotpot with my family, but that's about it. i don't get out much, so no parties for me either, lol

man, idr when this happened (the year has felt so long) but I do believe I got my olimpt this year! unfortunately i was unable to get it thru the vend machine because i wasn't as active, but @/applegranny traded it to me, and i'm super grateful!

What's your favorite new creature from 2024?
the Kuninkal is absolutely gorgeous and by far my favorite for this year! Mantids are sooo cool looking and this one gives off such regal vibes!!

What sort of end-of-the-year celebration do you participate in?
I'm not a big holiday person in general, so mainly just Christmas and New Year stuff with family. We don't do all that much together, if I'll be honest.

What was something nice that happened to you on Eggcave this year?
A lot of things; contests, winning the lottery and even seeing some of my favourite older creatures become more than just dreamies. Managed to find a Ceffyl too; bit of an overpay but I think it was worth it, even if the Ceffyl is a creature I think only I've ever really cared about.

What's your favorite new creature from 2024?
I'm extremely bad at only having one favourite, so I'll list a bunch I've really liked in no particular order (and in no way is this an exhaustive list) - Marilwyd, Ahap, the CRW fairies, Cleddy, Xai, Ardapell, Kuninkal, Zellenadrak.

Winter Solstice as it honors our atunement with Mother Earth. Second would be Christmas, which I was raised with 🎄

What was something nice that happened to you on Eggcave this year?
I made a number of new friends, some of whom gifted me with their duplicate creatures which I didn't have. I was finally able to buy a Raskoon, my favorite EC creature! People here have been so welcoming!

That's a tough one! It's a 4-way tie between Ahap, Otep, Floicol & Luvlei

On New year's eve, we usually like to have a toast (my preference is lemonade) and I'm a big fan of the kiss to enter the new year ❤️

A very generous person gave my a female hyinda and she's absolutely adorable.

Such a tough question because so many were beautiful, like the Hyinda! I might have to go with the Pollnoc though, which I plan to buy a lot of during the end of year sale haha

All the traditional celebrations - Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve. Me and my family prepare traditional Bulgarian foods (bulgarian banitsa & pitka) and celebrate together. ❤️

Coming back from a loooong hiatus and catching up on many new stuff that's been going on. Find the Gobblers, new creatures, Advent tree. I'm looking forward to what's to come! 😊

Scinurum & Observice as I'm a very religious person and these creatures represent some sort of protection AND Caramole since it reminds me of my chunky hamster Kiko 😸 ❤️

My family doesn't really celebrate anything, but we do partake in the usual traditions for Christmas (e.g. decorate a Christmas tree) and New Year's Eve (e.g. countdown to midnight)! Although they're not as festive as me lol

❄ What sort of end-of-the-year celebration do you participate in?
Myself and my close friend group tend to do a "Secret Santa", which is mainly just for the fun of it, with not much seriousness as it gives us the opportunity to all meet-up, since everyone is busy with different things in life and it is hard to schedule. Although we meet-up at different times during the year, it's usually never everyone in the group, sometimes just 2-4 people instead of the total 8 people. Other than that, just chilling with the family and happy to go through another year 😊

❅ What was something nice that happened to you on Eggcave this year?
I unfortunately was on hiatus due to life things and wasn't able to connect and talk to the few friends I made on here over the past 2-3 years, so I am slowly going to start catching up with them while I get time (mainly megamisama), as they are one of the main reasons I enjoyed EC, along with the overall concept of the game, so connecting with them is nice. Also, it was nice for the shopkeeper in the thief shop to return me 37,000 EC, very generous of him lol 😊

❄ What's your favourite new creature from 2024?
There were many, but I really liked the Cackler, Felle, Woofle, and Bonbati, with the favourite being probably the Felle.

1. What sort of end-of-the-year celebration do you participate in?
I don’t have strong family holiday traditions, but my friends and I are planning a gift exchange this year. we went all out with a google doc with charts for specific product links sorted by budget, favorite foods/drinks/brands, and things to avoid. highly recommend since it’s so much easier knowing everyone is getting something they actually want!

2. What was something nice that happened to you on Eggcave this year?
I have loved seeing the influx of new active users lately!! hope you all stick around, it makes me happy to see new names.

every year i typically travel back home for the holidays to spend time with family, and on christmas itself we usually just chill, eat food and watch movies :'] i used to do secret santa and gift exchange stuff with classmates and friend groups but it's been way too hard to organize as an adult lmao. last year i also went to a house/dinner party thing with some friends for nye and i'll hopefully get to do something similar this year too.

i had my first ever creature suggestion accepted this year - the cackler! halloween creatures were always my favorite so it was awesome getting to contribute to egg cave's spooky lore.

i'd probably go with the duillech! i don't see em get a ton of love but i adore the japanese yokai influence and combining a kappa with easter egg imagery is such a fun and unique idea. not to mention they're just adorable! shoutout to the release week fairies too, especially the myrthalic.

My family and I spend Christmas together! It's always fun because I usually end up getting to bake lots of cookies with my mom and grandma.

2. What was something nice that happened to you on Eggcave this year?
It's just been a wonderful year overall surrounded by a positive community! People have wished me well about messages left in my status and have helped feed my creatures when I've been away. I'm so glad to have gotten to finally have a full year here!

That's a tough one, but I'd have to go with the Reostus! It's just such a fun design and looks so friendly. ❤️

Giveaway #1: What sort of end-of-the-year celebration do you participate in? I put up the christmas tree with my family and each year we go out to a log cabin to celebrate where there is snow (we get no chill where we usually live) and I love getting the whole winter experience with them!

Giveaway #2: What was something nice that happened to you on Eggcave this year? All the giveaways that people hosted, as well as the events from @/Nest were so so fun and amazing to see. As small as it is, it is always such a nice and friendly community here!
