As for the changes in stages, the idea was to make something that doesn't change - it's a soul that's basically has an artificial body made out from the egg's shell. It can't grow or change too much, it can't talk or express emotions... so it uses very little things to communicate (the marks on its forehead or its movements). So it's more on purpose. 😊
