i love the idea to work a little to get the cc that way some of the things there to do on eggcave that were ignored by most players get traffic again

Just want to mention this as I'm thinking about it, today's donation task has already made me more interested in donating, beyond the 10 required for the task. It's really fun to see so many items in there! There have been a good number of surprises that I was thrilled to grab, and I tried to choose my donations from various types of items for variety.

Well, this is the second day of the daily, and it is much better than the previous one. The donates I was a little afraid really cleared my inventory very well, and in the donation center I found cool unusual journey. Also please tell me WHY 10 items from inventory your thing didn't count? Is this your strange funny joke I can't get or what?

Will it be fixed?

Search for eggs in the cave does not cause tension, and forum posts... forum posts... Meet my useless, absolutely uninterested in anything, antisocial phrases and posts that neither you nor I need. On the other side it will be keep me in good form to communicate on eng (it's not my native language).

I'm waiting for what will happen next, okay, I'm interested.

I agree with others that checking all 10 items in the inventory and clicking the send to donations button should count towards today's dailies. I'm guessing it's a glitch and that it should count and that it will be fixed eventually, but I figured I'd voice my opinion anyway. All in all, I'm very happy to see the CC through gameplay system FINALLY implemented

There is a bug with mass donating right now. Ian has already been informed and will get fixed as soon as he's able to get online.

There are going to be weird bugs with any new feature. Thank you for your patience as we work them out.

Overall I think it's an excellent idea, especially for those of us who don't usually spend money to acquire CC. In addition, it allows more interaction between users, which I do not dislike.

In addition, now the click exchange will be more active, since it seems that nobody used it anymore.

@Ian Have to admit I'm a little annoyed that everyone's donations were set to 9 with the fix, some of us had already completed it just fine (and completed the full dailies for today). completing it and then having it undo itself is frustrating. (That said, I understand why that may have been the best way to do things.)

I had already finished the donation task but after the update, i needed to complete the task again because it said that i only donated 9 items instead of 10, nevermind i finished the task again and now the game thinks i completed all 5 task for today for me thats fine but i still need to finish the task with the cave visit.

Thanks for fixing the donations, that's great! Now...for the prizes...those EC dangling between 100-400...good, buuut...not so much...Maybe some items instead? Or an other form of awarding? Or...dare I say it...maybe a "mini achievement", like "hey, you post on a profile, have a "cool poster" achievement" sort of...you know? And to take it even further up a notch, have like achiever of the month, then of the year award? I'm just sayin', throwing ideas out there, as you can see I'm really, really taken with this dailies/monthly thingie 😃

At this time, I'm fine with the work arounds. In saying that it was ages before I gathered the will to first ventured to the forums, and then I spent weeks just lurking. If this had of come in right at beginning, there is a chance I would have noped out of the social dailies, and there is a very small chance the site in general.

Suggestions 🤔:
Perhaps adding an option which allows us to exchange a task that we don't want to do for another one.
And as many users have commented maybe instead of days we have to do tasks, we should have a especific number of tasks in total.

first of all, i want to say thank you for this new way of obtaining cc! i am a newer player and had resigned myself to not ever having any, so this is super cool!

i've read through everyone's replies and done both days of dailies available so far, so i won't comment in detail on the specific quests yet as i haven't seen enough of the different quests to really know, but i would very much like to second a few of the ideas that have been put forward by other players.

for a start, given that we know donating items is one of the quests, i'd love to see items be used as some of the mini rewards each day. they don't have to be fancy items or whatnot, but i think this is something that would make it a little less overwhelming for newer players.

i also support the task exchange -- or on a similar note, perhaps one extra task could be added to each day, and users choose which 5 to complete for the monthly quest; but can optionally complete all 6 tasks for the completion rewards. (hopefully that makes sense, i'm still waking up, haha.)

i understand this is meant to be a bit of a challenge, and not an easy thing, because the balance of maintaining the site costs & accessibility of more valuable "buy only" specials is tricky, especially when you have a userbase filled with folks who remember the days of shareware & "buy once, own forever" game economy! so thank you for adding this option, and giving us the chance to offer our thoughts on its workability. 😊

The cave turns daily is a pain for anyone like me who can only take time to play in the evening, when it becomes a rush to try and get turns in.

I normally don’t visit the cave because the cave attempt notifications irritate me, but hey, that’s why it is called a challenge, or quest I guess. Makes you do stuff you may not normally do 😃

little mental energy for feedback on today's events.
but i will say it made me raise an eyebrow at the disparity the randomness can have at the mini-rewards.
100 ec for 3 wall posts, but 900 for 3 forums posts, but only 100 ec for 300 feeds o.O? Rly? (aprox values)
My initial reaction was that the daily prizes were fair, but now personally I'd prefer having a set amount for each category. like 100 ec per 3 social, and something like answering a trivia question; and 200 per 100 eggs fed. Even if it's less, I'd prefer a stagnate/static amount to the random.

Other than that today's was really easy for me to complete. glad i completed the donation one early on before the chaos.
Take into account... this is practically beta and there ARE going to be bugs. Have patience.
Besides, this is only a test product at this stage, it might not even stick around (so those who enjoy it, enjoy it - and make sure to say what you love about it.)

My question (and I know there are answers to this somewhere, but please help...)
Has it been normal these past to days to get a Common upon the completion of all 5 tasks?
Secondly, So if the chance is increased by 100% does that mean for example if it was 1 in 10 that it's now a 20% chance of getting a Monthly? (I personally thought it was worded just fine in the blog... just not transparent about what our chances were in the first place.)

(and egads... that flickering is bound to give someone a seizure. I only got a minor migraine, but now I know what people were talking about with the flashy casino-like comments.)


Overall, enjoyed having the tasks around today.
And it was really good getting to see the donations center getting used. (Though I think 10 items is HARD level, especially having to do them one by one. Honestly I didn't even think to mass donate as the way i was playing would have been counter-productive. ...but kudos who did!)


Thanks in advance for any replies about the achievement creature! (I don't know how much time or energy I'll have to reply.)

p.s. As easy as it is for me to get the Forum achievement (and in and of itself would love it to stay in the pool, unfortunately) I feel like it's more trouble than it's worth.
It felt like chaos in the forums today. I was glad more people were talking (like in the Chat area), but overall it seemed like duplicate (multiples) were a "game" of whack-a-mole or a Hydra monster. it was as if no one was looking to see if anyone else had posted anything similar. A lot of relevant or useful threads were being buried. valid ones caught of in the maelstrom of locks, and some cheerful discussions were outright deleted. (maybe I missed something after I went to bed, but in in the case of the latter, one i know of for sure was in the proper category, stayed on-topic, and didn't violate any rules.) I honestly felt like the mods were completely overwhelmed and over worked and that achievement task isn't fair to them either.
It was almost as bad as being inundated with actual spam (bots) - unsolicited advertising .)

@sapphire12 I'd like alternate tasks, though 1. I don't think such a big tweak would be made to accommodate a handful of anxious users like myself, and 2. I understand why the social tasks exist (to promote socializing on what's inherently a social site), it doesn't feel fair to change it if that's the whole point. Rather I and my anxiety are, as usual, the problem. ☹️ I'm lucky I can even verify my account to participate in the first place since I don't have a mobile number--don't need a phone when I have no one to call.

I've seen a workaround for wall posts, but not for forum posts. Aside from help/technical stuff like this post here, I have nothing to post in the forums...I can't post to myself.

@kataclysm See above, I can post to myself on my own wall (I didn't know that counted until I was told), but as far as I know there's no such option for forum posts without spamming.

People don't understand my particular level of anxiety--in 23yrs online I've never met anyone as anxious as I am, I imagine they don't communicate at all--so I've given up trying to explain. Most times I get lectures, useless advice, or outright disbelief ("You're just lazy/a snob"). The sheer hostility I've faced about this over the years just made me avoidant online as well as off (I used to be very chatty online). Thus why I don't post anymore unless asking for help, and even this is painful. I quit at least a couple of other sites when I couldn't get help in the forums, it was too stressful to keep bothering people.

I'm worrying now that I've antagonized you and/or others here, so...not sure if I'll have the guts to return. Still don't know how to get through the forum quest in the future. I'd take a 1000EC reroll if that's what it took, sure. I doubt it's under consideration, though.

I'm sorry if I've overstepped. Creeping off now. ;_;

I agree with @/snowywinter about the forum-posts one, that was just frustrating. Sure the page says 'no spamming' but you can't really say 'you have to post to complete this!' and also expect no spamming, especially with people who may not usually use the forums.
And the new tasks for today include 3 blog comments... Again, that *will* lead to spam. I really think the socializing tasks need to be re-thought, I feel like maybe when making those tasks it wasn't really thought through about just how many users will be posting randomly just to meet the requirement?

I really like the idea some have suggested about being able to 'exchange' a ask, that would be so helpful and more considerate of people's different playstyles I think. One of the tasks today is to use/consume items, I've seen multiple users mention they *don't* use any items on their creatures at all.

I am really grateful for the opportunity to get CC on the site but one thing I will agree with is that I think 15 cave visits is a bit too high.

I got that challenge two days in a row and it is definitely the challenge I am struggling with the most. If that number could be lowered or if it could be made to be a more rare challenge that would be great!

Also can we please have a way to turn off the repeated "you have another cave attempt!" notifications after 10 attempts?

For those who are feeling that the cave attempts are too high, would it help if the cooldown was shortened? I'm just curious if the issue is more preference-based (like you just don't usually do that many approaches) or if it's more about not being able to be around long enough to get through the attempts with such long cooldowns. I know some people have small windows of time that they can actually play some days.

@heatherm19 It's definitely more to do with the cooldown! I can get pretty busy and I can't play for large windows of time most days. So I struggle a lot with keeping track of the waiting and trying to remember to check back five more times throughout the day when I have other things to do. And interrupting what I am currently doing to log on to egg cave and check the cave that many times can get frustrating. A couple times would be fine but having to log on 5 extra times to go check the cave feels a bit too much.

I have returned. I'm sure a bunch of people have things to say about the multiple blog posts for today's daily. Here's my two cents. Largely just copied from what I posted on the blog, but a bit expanded.

I dislike this daily. Posting on a blog post? I get it, but 3 times? The current one has been pretty active already. So it's either, resay something that's already been brought up, or start side conversations which take away from the 'news' of the blog. If it were a forum thread, it would be seen as off topic and would need to be taken elsewhere.

So now we saturate the current news post, which really doesn't help anyone looking to see if anyone is having issues like yesterday's donation bug. The pertinent posts of people looking for help/ answers get buried if a bunch of people are just trying to get their comments out of the way. I get that you can delete your post and it'll count, but then that just seems like it encourages spam as long as you delete it.

As for the other dailies so far? No complaints outside of the 'post but don't be spammy' and what I had posted previously about not giving enough time for some people to enjoy the events and instead seeing it as homework. I'd still like it to be a set number of tasks overall rather than 25 days out of a month. Especially when February is already the shortest month.

Side note: for the item daily, it says discarding twice in the description.

First day had me freaking out horribly. Then something clicked the second day. And I'm going to *try* to hold onto that moment of calm. (Still trying to find it today) I've come to the conclusion that it is highly unlikely I'm going to meet the monthly goal of 25 days of completing all five tasks... and just collect the extra EC for the things I do already do. Wahoo on the days I do complete all five.
But looking at it that way, I'm still getting a bonus that wasn't there before.
It was just stressing me out way too much to try to push myself to do the things I was most uncomfortable with. Some that there would be no going back on. As they say, it would be like putting toothpaste back in the tube. (Which isn't impossible, I've done it, but this is the internet we're talking about.)

Once I told myself to shelve the idea of getting those things done and going back to playing the way I normally do, the stress (mostly) left.
(Almost back to square one today, but there's some progress toward that "zen.")

I know that may not help everyone, but I hope it helps someone.

The stress, the quickly fading enjoyment of collecting eggs, the joy I got from the few people I do have regular interactions turning sour at deluge of chaos... It all wasn't worth it to me for the meager amount of CC (and a larger sum to try for would probably only make me more resentful over time the more I pushed myself to do things I disliked or caused panic attacks, or outright couldn't do after spending all day having panic attacks *trying* to get myself to do them.) I think I'm mostly going to stick to the activities I do like around the site and challenge myself on some I think I can push through and still have a bit of fun with.
