Our Topic For Discussion This Weekend Is: "Snow and Skiing"

Do you like to ski or have you ever wanted to learn?
When it is snowing, what is your favorite activities to do?

We would love to get a chance to chat with all of you and hope you will join in conversation on the topic above.

To start off, I love the snow. It looks especially beautiful when it is untouched on the ground and hanging on tree branches.

When I was younger, my brother and I use to taste the snow and make snow angels outside in front of the house. Come inside, warm up, drink some cocoa and go back to play in the snow again.

It has always been something pure about snow when it falls. The simplicity of snowflakes has always amazed me. I'm older inow and it is still lovely to see, but walking in it is more of a chore.

No, never have gone skiing. Twice, have been to a skiing resort. There are other things you can do while there besides skiing; which is cool.

I live in the valley of mountains and one of the attractions for tourists here is skiing, believe it or not. It is just fun sometimes to just go to one of the mountains and enjoy the scenery. 😸

I knew it would be interesting in chatting about this topic as some have never probably seen snow or get snow where they live on a regular cycle.

What do you do during January and February?

We get buried with snow here at times during the winter and have what they call a Nor'easter. Endless snowfall and a good 2 feet of snow to boot.

I'll guess about 2013 or 2009?

It is very interesting at best and thanks for sharing the seasons there in Texas. ❤️

I love to watch it snow, so peaceful. Or going outside when it's snowing just to listen to how quite it gets. It's amazing the difference in sound when it's snowing. Though I always wish that I didn't have to work the next day. No fun having to drive in it. 😊

I've gone skiing once and that was enough for me. Too uncoordinated to make it work. Kind of want to learn to snowboard or at least try it once but it seems rather scary! 😋



@jellifysh Suppose it would matter where you are in Texas, so I'll assume southern-ish. How about 2010, probably longer than that?? Really have no idea. I live in Iowa and we see a bit of snow in winter and can't really imagine a winter where we don't see any.

I wish I had that much summer. It feels like winter from like Oct/Nov - April here ;-; I love the snow though especially when it's fresh and crisp. Lots of fun activities. My favourite thing to do in the snow is to take maple sap and roll it in the snow for an instant icy treat. It's the best XD

I love the snow, I don't skii anymore. I snowboard. I am fairly good at it and I go multiple times per year. I go a resort in Vermont most of the time. I love going up there it's so beautiful in the winter.

@byfelisa i really dislike the snow since my dad is a bus driver so it becomes highly dangerous for him. also doing horticulture means i have less things to do during the colder weather and we tend to go into classroom work.

ive never been sking before honestly i dread at the thought of me skiing im quite clumsy at times so i know it will go awfully wrong lol 😋
